I have a 98 yellow mustang, but its kinda falling apart.
One of my new tires was defective and blew
My door pins got messed up on passenger side and my door is jammed.
My windows barely go up and down
My air gave out
The cd player quit working
We found out it had been partially repainted before I got it so theres 2 different paint tones
Theres prolly 5 other things
It really is extremely gay. Before I bought it I was asking the salesman what I can do to the car without it voiding the warranty. I had planned for wheels, bodykit, etc. And yeah you seriously canāt do anything. Basically rolling the windows down above 50mph voids the warranty.
Iām looking to get a Mazda 3 at the end of the year. Maybe an 08 or 09. Thought about a Cobalt but still not sure. The Mazda looks pretty good to me. Gotta have a manual trans.
i currently have an MR2. theyre pretty great and awesome to drive down a windy road
and on that note, anyone know of a type of rim that has curved fins as spokes (kind of like a fan)? iāve only seen it once on a sports car, but all my searches come up with nothing
I was looking at a 3speed, has everything I need (Horses and 6 speed); just need to see if I can pack my equipment in it. It looks small to be a 5 door
Yeah, the 3speed looks nice. I keep waffling between it and just a Mazda3. Price will probably dictate me going for the Mazda 3 however. Which really isnāt bad, they both look the exact same with he 3speed having the hatch look.
Anyone know how difficult it is to install a short shifter kit? Iāve been thinking about buying one for my civic, and when I look at the installation manual it seems daunting. Iām thinking about just taking the kit to the dealership.
Itās not that difficult for my tC. I have one from TWM and it wasnāt too difficult. Hardest part was removing that damn cup from the factory shifter. Iām not too car savvy at all, either. This is the first car Iāve ever worked on. Of course it helped that this car is put together like a Lego house, but still.
If youāre still apprehensive, remember this: you have a Civic; surely thereās a bunch of ricer dudes in your area that can help you out.
Iāve never installed one on a Civic, only a BMW and Mustangā¦but the jobs are not that bad usuallyā¦it often involves getting access from the top of the shifter column, and possibly from below too for the linkagesā¦that is going to depend on your car.
However: NEVER a dealership, unless you like throwing money away.
Find a small independent shop with a good reputation and go there, they will charge you fairly, as opposed to the dealer who will ask you to grab your ankles.

But I just looked at that PDF, that is cake, you should do it yourself.**
Oh and since this is the car thread:
