People were looking at me like WTF?? and the employees were getting angry that I didn’t buy it :annoyed: :annoyed:

But when Blade hit the scene, it made everyone stand up and take notice. And see that comic book movies could be much more than the cheesy campiness they were known for and that money could be made with them if done right

I think the majority of what they knew of and used for the film *Blade *movies came from Spider-Man The Animated Series!

I don’t know how many of you remember exactly, but this might jog some of your memories if you have seen the show long ago.
When Blade was introduced in the show, he indeed carried the badass leather-wearing look and attitude and really wasn’t keen on Spider-Man at ALL on first meeting (he was hunting Morbius at the time of appearance).
…And seems to spice things up, the show gave him the powerset that the film and later CURRENT Blade has now.

Tim Burton’s Batman aged like shit. It’s definitely no top 20 movie.

All I know is that Batman Returns is still one of my favourite movies, maybe cause it got me into latex and heels fetishizing at a young age.

Because Tim Burton never read a Batman Comic.
Burton got away with it as the mind set of what Batman was before him was the “Adam We” Batman of the 60s

Only other thing that was their was the Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, which is the least Batman like of how Batman actually is.
And despite how good The Dark Knight Returns is, it should never be anyone’s first or go-to Batman book.

There are far better Batman books that depict what Batman really is, The Dark Knight Returns is a twisted alternative future that never happens.
And Bruce comes back after years of retirement because of extreme situations.
