sheeeeit, I always think of my generation as The Atari Generation…for some odd and unfortunate reason no one in the media seems to have thought of that as a name. We are the generation that grew up alongside this industry with the Atari 2600, 5200 or 7800 and the NES right after that.

On a sidenote–I have an Atari t-shirt that’s years old and faded of course but still holding up so far. It’s not actually from that era but I love that shirt. It just has the classic, simple logo and Atari name on the front.

One thing about a Gamma Ray Burst… if that’s the way we go out… at least it will be quick. There would presumably be a sudden, blinding flash of light and in an instant…everything on the surface of this planet would be burned to nothing. Of the things we know about, I think that’s definitely one of the top tier extinction-level events right there. There’s no gameplan to counter something like that.

A “roaming” black hole would be another good one that is unbeatable. It’s going to eat the world and everything around it…and there would be nothing anyone could do to stop that or even get away in time…since our pathetic species seems to have mostly given up on any serious ambitions for figuring out the whole interstellar travel thing…which gets to another rant about how disappointing we are… I’d bet money that 1000 years from now, assuming this species is still around… we STILL will have not set foot on another goddamn planet yet. Elsewhere in the universe, other sophisticated species continue to laugh their ass off at Earth being that “Special-Needs” class.

The other stuff made before Blade had some cheese to them and even then, used as much recognizable stuff with the brand.
Blade at the time was what, considered a C-lister at best? Mofo in the comics didn’t even have anywhere NEAR the amount of abilities or badassitude he had until Wesley Snipe injected that shit into em, and Marvel had to come up with some story to make the comic Blade match what he’s able to do in the movies.

Damn right. Put some repsec on Snipes name. That dude made the character Blade what he is now. You can’t think of Blade without thinking of Wesley Snipes and the movie. It made a character go from complete obscurity to a semi house hold name.
