It’s still quite a strange thing that people (usually guys for some reason) choose hanging to kill themselves…because of all the ways you could’ve picked, that’s one of the worst ways to go. To be purely logical about this shit for a second…if you’re in such despair that you just want to get the hell out of the game of life permanently… why go with such a painful method? I would think the popular choices would be something that’s quick and guaranteed… like jumping from a skyscraper or some other extreme height… or by using a shotgun to blow your brains out. Hanging is definitely not one of the “good” choices. I imagine their last moments of life are spent in even more extreme pain and they probably start to regret the decision as their struggle now with the entire weight of their body now hanging on a rope that’s choking them to death…damn man that’s such a stupid ass thing to do. At least with the skyscraper idea you’d have a few moments of feeling like you’re “flying”…but then when you hit ground it’s over immediately if the distance was good enough.

I always liked the method I found on Bash:

Best suicide plan ever
you go up to the top of a roof
string piano wire tight across the front edge at neck level
tie a cord to your foot and the other end to the building so that you’ll be above sidewalk level when its fully stretched
then you put super glue on your hands
and put your arms around the front of the wire and then back to touch your head
then you lean forward, so the piano wire cuts your neck but not your elbows
when the cord goes taut, youll be hanging upside down with no head…except your head will be in your outstretched arms thanks to gravity and the glue, staring at someone upside down and spewing blood everywhere.
And some poor bastard will be traumatized for LIFE.

The realness: Nothing happened, just like Trannygate, only with less angst from Azure. I have a girlfriend, so it never once crossed my mind. We sat and chatted a bit, namely talked about how exhausting Evo is, I had been up almost 20 hours by that time. We were gonna run casual sets but there were no setups open to play on due to the Japanese and Koreans running money match trains on Wolfkrone and Xiaohai and the Taiwanese players. By the time there was one open, she was leaving to catch her flight and that’s that.

I was actually chomping at the bit to play and test my mettle. I know she’s pretty good, but I heard she just barely missed getting out of pools so I figured I had a good shot of not only winning against a decent Japanese player, but also learning from it. Unbeknownst to me at that time, the reason Kayo didn’t make it out of pools was partly due to facing Daigo in Winner’s Finals of pools.

But all-in-all, super friendly person, pretty down to earth when you factor in that Kayo has fame that extends beyond the FGC and into mainstream Japanese media.

I did have to hold back screaming, “OH DELICIOUS IRONY” when I first realized it was Kayo, which happened on Friday night as I was leaving, and was going to go say bye to Gerald from Core-A Gaming, and they were shaking hands. When I heard the words “I’m Kayo,” the only reason those words didn’t come out was because I was choking on my tongue.
