Maybe if we don’t tell them, they wont find out. I don’t know if the 3rd character benchmark will get met though. Somewhere after the 200k point, funding started to drag a little bit.
On a positive note, that feel of 300k+

They’ve been getting about 10k a day, pretty steadily. Which leaves about 14 days after reaching Big Band. Which means if that same rate continues to the very end, it’ll end at a bit over 500k. But I’ve seen a lot of people talk about how towards the end of these things you’ll often see a final big burst in donations. Will it be enough to get a little under 100k extra? We’ll see, I guess!

We just need to make it happen. Spread the word and what not.

I hope Mike Z still shows all the characters at the end and maybe a couple ideas behind each one even if we don’t fund the game enough to get us the bonus character. Would be really interested to see how they look and how they would of all worked.

Yeah but LZ just slapped on two $800,000+ funding tiers.

I was looking forward to saying “Yes, we made it to the top” when the third character could get funded in full (because I figured if $600,000 could be cracked, then we’d easily sail over the final $625,000 funding tier and max it out). But to say the least I have SERIOUS doubt we’re going to get even beyond $700,000. Anything above $800,000 is ludicrous and I’m not exactly pleased they ratcheted it up like that.

They didnt ratchet anything up, they just added another goal in the event they surpass 700,000. What is there to be displeased about?

All they asked for was money for squiggly. The rest is everything else they’re prepared to give us provided we want it enough. Big band is a result of that. Its not like they’re demanding 800k. Its kind of a “You don’t have to give us this much, but if you do you get all this stuff”

It’s as simple as this: The more we pay. The more we get. Only thing LZ is doing is being transparent about what we are getting.

So I wonder if they’ll add in the free engine license for Mane 6’s four legged not pony Fighting is Magic game. Be interesting to see that as a stretch goal. I think that Mane 6 better prepare some art assets with Lauren super fast before times runs out. I know Pony fans will at least support the game a little. Maybe even $325,000 a little. :slight_smile:

Its already a stretch. 725k I think? Though if it doesn’t hit that point they can still use it but it won’t be free.

This is a campaign for Skullgirls. Mane6 needs to start their own crowdfunding campaign if they want to raise money for engine licensing fees.

If it means another character, I don’t think most people care where the money comes from.

Considering Lab Zero has already said that they could use the engine for free if the Skullgirls campaign reaches that $725k I think you are out of line to say what Mane6 should do. That didn’t come out of Mane6’s mouth. Lab Zero told them that.

Ya i just saw that. Very generous of lab zero. Usually engine licences cost $1000-$2000 and up.
