If they use square gates in arcades then you should be using square gates on your stick. Plus youre not supposed to ride the edge of the gate.
Tetsuosan is right. But then again, some people don’t play in arcades and go with customized sticks to suit their exact needs.
One more thing that you may not know: You can make a square gate into a “diamond” gate. In other words, you can rotate it 45 degrees. I don’t know if that will be helpful for you, but you can try it.
yeah who needs corners in street fighter? real men use the four way gate!
2way ftw =)
Consequently, you can only play charge characters XD
LOL I forgot about that. I was thinking in terms of QCF type motions. But yeah, for charging or maybe even blocking, you’d be screwed.
Lol, bye bye lo-blocks.
As you probably know, it’s basically just a matter of preference. I started out with a square gate, the stock one in HRAP then moved to octagonal, which I fell in love with. Furthermore I heard so many good things about Seimitsu’s LS-32-01, so I ordered one.
I enjoyed both the octagonal JLF and the LS-32-01, if only the latter had an octagonal restrictor then I would’ve used a LS-32-01 w/ octagonal restrictor in both my HRAP and HRAP2.
