Actually, I have alot of characters I play that don’t really have a home. So maybe I’ll get to show off some of my non Viper/IM/Dante tech… Of course that is contingent on how often I can get to chicago and the netplay being workable this time around.

I played online last night for the first time in a long while (first time I had played this game in a month too) and I was playing with my buddy Soviet Afro from the southeast (im in Seattle) and surprisingly it was pretty good for this games standards. Like I actually was able to pull off some of my Viper BnB’s every now and then. Usually when I had played him in the past it was pretty much unplayable.

A month off and I suck haha… plus being drunk doesn’t help (does help the saltiness that online brings you though). My muscle memory was still there but the gameplan/mixup execution wasn’t there. I have been having too much fun playing Yang :(. Plus the announcement of UMvC3 kind of killed the will to play this game at the time.

Seattle eh? I’ve got alot of relatives up there, I’ll try to let you know if I’m up there.

I saw you on the SF4 queue the other day actually, I play Yang and Abel, but I’m not very good at SF4, I have trouble with SF4 for some reason…

I suck at SF4 too lol but I think its a fun game to play casually. Plus online its one of the best in terms of netcode. I don’t think i could really ever take SF4 super seriously and go really in depth with every little match up/learning OS’s/safe jumps etc. I played Abel in super.

Yea Seattle is a nice place. We haven’t had a summer though lol every day has basically been 60-70 degrees the past 2 months. Im not complaining though, I can’t stand really hot weather.

The scene up here is pretty good too.

Yeah, I was gonna spend some time with the PNW guys for BB (my game of choice), but I’m always up for offline competition. The people around here are fine, but it’s not top level by any stretch. I need people to kick my ass so I can get better.

If you ever want to SF4 feel free to hit me up.

Yea MvC3 got me into going to tournies and what not. I remember my first time playing offline at a tourney and playing casuals with one of the better players from around here and wow I got pummled. This was before I got into Viper and was running my Wesker/Thor/Dorm team. After he beat me like 700 times I left and was pretty excited because I realized how much better I needed to get.

I always welcome a good ass kicking, it does wonders for your overall mentality and approach afterwards.

Yeah, I wouldn’t recommend Jill as anchor ever.

Almost as bad as Haggar but not that bad.

Jill is made for point IMHO. No second or anchor, just point.

I agree that jill is best on point, but if you can train yourself with her lvl 3 it isn’t bad. Unfortunately you only get one go, so it’s really risky, and I wouldn’t recommend anchor jill.

If I ran that Viper/Trish/Jill team I would more than likely save Viper for anchor. When I list a team I don’t list them in order where I am going to put them (although I should).

Jill/Trish is decent, you can do Jill/Trish/Dante for an easy one. I Can any female cause an untechable knockdown in the air? I guess EX BK… but that kinda defeats the point.

yah I assumed as much, since no female character in this game is good as an anchor except Phoenix lol

umm huh? Didnt understand what you were trying to say?

Actually Viper gets pretty crazy in level 3. Especially if the other player doesn’t have their x factor to negate the chip from Seismos.

Well, I talking about a team here that would pretty much set fire to meter…

I play a couple jill teams, Jill/Tron/Wesker, and Jill/Tron/Sentinel.

Oh yeah definitely, I also play Viper as anchor quite often sometimes. Tridashing with light in triple XFC is just to lols.

I really really really want to make a Viper/MODOK team lol… it just sounds like so much fun. If anyone reading this hasn’t tried MODOK before do it. He is wonky, strange, and pretty execution heavy… but he is a shitload of fun to play.

I usually go for awkward high execution characters (see Iron Man, Viper, Jill, Dante), but I just can’t MODOK… and I’ve tried.

Pshh please… I play Wolverine/Akuma and the execution curve for these characters is 10x higher than those guys.

It’s that 214A motion, so much harder than the simple shit Dante has like 6C~A+S~623B~623B…

Yea Wolvie/Akuma is some serious executional stuff. I don’t even dare to try and tread those waters.
