ammy cold star is long enough. i tested around with it for hours, different setups and situations. midscreen the opponent can just pushblock and is out of danger, but if he’s in the corner and you manage to call cold star and the opponent is forced to block it, you get a free focus. if you start it simultanously with cold star, the assist is still active when the FA hits, but this doesn’t matter for the follow up. though, it is the only assist if found so far which sets up the FA perfectly (outside of tag in setups or somethin like that). every other assist is not long enough or has gaps in it (like sent drones for example), so the opponent can tag out.
Apparently chun-li works very well as well [media=youtube]Y6IWIydnlCE&NR=1[/media] plus I think sent might work although since the drones aren’t a true block string that is questionable. Finally akuma in the corner might actually work as well.

yeah, looks like chun works too. akuma might work in the corner, that’s right. but i don’t like viper and akuma at one team, since both of them need tons of meter to be effective. but that’s just me. might be a good combination.
People could do a Cross-counter with a move that hits over 2 times and get out of your unblockable and most assists hits get themselves a combo retaining the bar they lost
@don_tknow: You can cancel EX moves into other EX moves or in that case an EX feint. The only reason that section is in there is to move them dramatically toward the corner.
@Slayerslice: People need to cross counter a projectile invincible/fully invincible assist or hyper cancel, if they do anything with less than 34 frames of invincibility you can punish any attempt they do to get out of it on reaction with emergency combination.
If they have something with less than 14 frames of invincibility you can EX seismo into combo for higher damage, and regardless focus absorbs infinite hits not 2…

Question: Is there any way out of this setup? I had the opportunity to play MarlinPie briefly over the weekend and he used Cold Star + Focus Attack setup in the corner on me after he KO’d my first character and proceed to just OCV my whole team with the same setup since I could not avoid it coming in.
The only thing I was able to think of off the top of my head is Hard Drive with Sentinel… thoughts Viper boards?

Starting in the corner if he just summons Ammy and does focus most characters with air mobility can get over the top of Ammaterasu. Mags air dash etc, however if he optimizes it and forces you to push block a seismo before falling on top of Ammy then you’re 100% screwed if his timing is right.

I’ve been playing dante, amaterasu, storm, trish, sentinel and decided i’d like to give viper a try (especially after watchin desk combos) and i gotta say i don’t understand what the hell is goin on in this forum. For real lol it’s really confusing. Aside from that, i’m able to do her basic combos but i’m havin major problems doin her thunder knuckle loop, i think i’ve done it one out of 25 tries or so. How do you do it, when it hits i press s then try to continue the combo but i can’t seem to get it right. anyway i’d be good to have some sort of help with that combo and the box dash combos but i can’t understand what the hell you guys are talkin about someone plz help me

yea i guess ur right lol. I was just really frustrated after practicing with viper for a couple hours and getting no headway with the tk loop. When I went to the forum and looked at combos they were making my head spin so i think i was just venting. The combo’s are hard to read/decipher
the tk loop is like a one framer aka its gonna take more then 25 tries to learn it
i’ve been able to tk cancel a few times by pure luck. but it’s hard to tell when i’m supposed to cancel it lol
anyone know the specific timing, or visual/audio queue to do tk cancels?

I find that it’s easier to cancel the L Knuckle then M Knuckle for some reason. I can get it pretty decently in training mode but I would never attempt it in a real match.
I just usually do a normal :qcf::l: then you gotta time the :s:
If Viper is doing the full TK animation and not stopping, you’re pressing the :s: too late so try to press it just a tiny bit earlier and work your way down from there. If she does it and it stops without the hitbox even coming out, you’re doing it too early. This is kinda common sense but you can use it to find just the right timing. Once you play around with the timing it becomes much easier. 
Cancel it the instant it hits, try double tapping S.
