Also, I remember Zukuu posted framedata for movement, dash, and jump animations. Juri’s dash takes longer compared to others, which makes it impractical to CADC towards an opponent unless he doesn’t have an idea what you are up to. I consider Jin’s and Christie’s CADC to be among the best due to their speed and range.
Juri has one of the best forward dashes in the game. If not thee best. She’s only rivaled by Alisa’s and Ibuki’s. Her backdash is actually average compared to some other characters. Which is fine by me anyway.
Also her backdash is pretty ass compared to most characters, not average. doesn’t move far enough back during the invuln frame to be used as an escape in most cases.
Lol. You playing some low metagame Bisons. The fact you said he has bad AAs says it all. Bison AAs with air to air normals, and these beat Juri. Hard. Preemptive Neutral jump forward beats Juri out of the air, leads to untechable knockdown. Jump mp/Hell attack beats her out of the air clean, leads to 352 damage or 220 + untechable knockdown. He dominates her on the ground with his pokes + walkspeed and if you happen to get in on him, he escapes for free with many escape tools. This is probably a 8-2 MU in Bison’s favor with all of the nerfs now. He can turtle her very easily too. Don’t want to play footsies? You’ll get blown up even harder because a good Bison player with good reactions will slaughter Juri’s jump in attacks with his own.
Also Bison’s jump fp can now stuff her AA, as can Vega’s jump in fp. Even worse, Bison’s floaty jump actually works for him vs Juri, with his weird jump arc he can actually jump in at many angles with jump forward and it will hit the back/no hitbox area of her crouch fp. Bison also has a normal that Juri hates up close- a frame 3 stand light kick. With a charge you can also reaction headstomp her fireballs and fireball stores. I mean Bison shuts her down in pretty much all areas. She can’t even attempt to cheese him out with 50/50 jump cancel on block anymore either, because that’s removed.
Vs Vega it’s not as bad as Bison because she can harass him a bit once she gets in but her AA trades or gets stuffed now to his jump in as well in 2013 unless you are dead on with your timing, and honestly it’s better to just block than to risk eating a combo. you have to be careful with his high priority neutral jump roundhouse, it will usually beat your jump in attacks out of the air now. Btw did you know Vega can’t combo out of overhead for free anymore? His overhead got nerfed too. Neutral jump roundhouse is generally a good air to air AA vs Vega but beware of air grab.
Good Vegas aren’t going to try wall dive stuff because pretty much any character with a half way decent dash can just run under him and punish or something.
Overall though the MU is much harder on her now compared to pre-patch.
Also please don’t misunderstand I’m not trying to be overly negative gloom and doom I’m just saying she’s not as good in this version and is outclassed… but she’s still very formidable and even has some great matchups, but some bad ones got worse and some even ones are now disadvantaged. I’m trying to be honest about her.
Edit: oh you are on PSN? I see mostly horrible Bisons who do not play him right. It’s probably why you didn’t know. Yung_Ice is the best Bison on PSN. On Xbox (I play on Xbox) there’s a few other really good bisons (shoutouts to LordBBH) but still most aren’t playing him right.
I know yung ice. He doesn’t play much Bison anymore, he\s more into Law and Lei now usually. I watched your match…the really only thing Juri has to worry about on bison’s wake-up is either ex head stomp of somersault sky diver.
I never really abused the whole JC on block thing, that wasn’t part of my gameplan, so I don’t really lose much there. Bison can really only punish Fuhajin’s with HS or SSD up close. Fuhajin recover as fast as sonic booms both the kick and shot parts. Combined total frames are 66 in total. just over a full second if Juri decided o laucnh it as one big projectile. which alot of the time shouldn’t be happening anyway.
