You might have to get that answer from someone else other than me. I mean, I messed with it a little when the game first came out and I don’t remember being able to do that. After today I just did it and it worked so at least I know it works now. But when you Raw Launch, it does that wonky one that doesn’t let you juggle afterwards the same way her Boost Combo ends when you do LP > MP > HP > Launch.
But yeah after testing her crouch fp out a lot, you just have to make sure you don’t AA late, or there is a chance it will trade vs some characters. If you can’t react in time and the angle is correct, use crouch strong into fireball instead. If you are flat out fishing or predicting an AA, crouch fp is pretty much going to work for free.
The hitbox reduction was in the front btw. There are a few times after a neutral jump roundhouse it will whiff where it used to hit pre-patch. Again, not a big deal I literally had to go in training mode fishing for it. But be aware.
The hitbox was nerfed on the front? Hmmmmm…makes sense. Meh not a big deal. Still above godlike AA.
I tried it right after reading Everfrost’s post and it works. Although I tested it on version 1.06, nothing about EX Shikusen has been mentioned in the change logs so there’s no reason for the raw launcher not to connect in 2013.
I never thought about it mind you. I didn’t think the launcher would connect since it’s JP was used up…guess I was wrong.
I have just painfully discovered that Kasatsushi doesn’t work against Alisa’s Antares Missiles. They just keep on blowing up on her face.
Even though there aren’t specific armor breakers like in SSF4, some attacks just break it. I’m pretty sure Supers, Cross Arts, and EX projectiles all fall in that category which is easy enough to remember. But then I believe there is also the odd other thing here and there that break it too if i’m not mistaken.
All of the above, plus Alisa’s missiles and Cody’s rocks are the ones I can think of. Most other things don’t though. Kinda nice to be able to counter someone’s for-sure wake-up DP and not give them a free armor break because of that reversal armor break property…
…okay that was just a personal beef of mine I’m sure. :-p
Yeah, I got nothing against her. I comfort myself by thinking that at least I didn’t spent money on DLC characters.
Did you guys not read my post for Kasatushi in…can’t remeber what thread. It lists everyhting that can counter and what cannot. and more. Take a read trust me…it’s right.
I was actually looking for it as I remembered you posting something about Kasatsushi when Alisa’s missiles blew up on Juri’s face. The problem is that I can’t recall where you posted it. :lol:
Neither can I…I think it was in the combo thread. And Capcom needs to patch that Kasatushi should go through everything except throws (SA and CA are debatable because that might make her Kasautshi OP’ed).

Seems like projectiles that are ki based can be countered. Anything different than this cannot be. Seems right.
If I can offer any advice…I play against players that are used to this. They punish my air kasatushi’s. Do not use this vs air attacks. They recover too fast and you eat a lot of damage. I suggest using kasatushi to escape and create space. Even in SF4, It was always a huge risk going up and you’re usually safest using sides.
If I want to come inside someones range, please be careful. I have rarely had this work against someone of proper skill.
That can’t be the case. Kasatsuhi works on Rolento’s Stinger Knives and Ibuki’s Kunai. I’m beginning to think that it’s an oversight on Capcom’s part.
It’s strange since Kasatushi can’t beat Jin’s PF’s…even though it’s ki based. Kasatushi also beats out Raven’s ninja stars…I’m pretty sure capcom overlooked that. Besides cody’s badstone was counterabel in 4…yet not in this? Yeah capcom needs to fix it where Kasatushi counters ALL strikes and projectiles (SA and CA too).
I’ve been convinced the projectiles kasatushi loses to (single hit ones at least) are oversights >.> glad to know I’m not the only one
It was definilty overlooked. Jin’s PS is the same way. Alisa’s missles can blow right through it…makes no sense. Capcom…fix this.
Being able to kasatushi alisa’s fireballs would make that MU far less annoying… jin’s fireballs… I dunno, honestly don’t think it would change much but thats just me >.>
it wouldn’t change much but it would help when he’s trying to outzone you and get right up in his face and start Juri’s torture attacks on his pretty boy ass.
