Soul Edge/Blade: Why has it been entirely forgotten?

I stayed on this in arcades long ago, definitely haven’t forgotten about it. Mina’s original theme is still fresh in my head kinda, it was my favorite.

I still play SC3 all the time…too good.

Damn, I completely forgot how great the soundtrack to those games were. I need to pick them back up.

I played the arcade and PSX game a few times and enjoyed it enough that when I heard SC was coming out, I was excited based off that alone. It also made me dislike the sequels a little more with each installment because they never tried to go for that same leap in quality.

Still nothing is forgotten, it is just that with the name change and the fact that SE/B was indeed put around the time of the PS1 era fighters and Tekken taking off, the original got lost in the shuffle. SC came out as one of the last fighters of the 32/64 bit gen and one of the first fighters on the DC/PS2/Xbox/GC era. Pretty much it is compareable to how no one remembers details from SF1.

I love the Eminem track where he used the games theme music and some of the announcer’s sayings:

i hope theres a khan super session for sc4, if there is it is complete :wonder:

Wow, it looks like Namco knows how to make a good intro.

I died a little after listening to that ending.

My favourite apart from the intro. When you heard this song you knew you were in for shit… EDGE IS GONNA GET YA!

Truly epic theme song. Trancending time, a song of souls and swords…

I keep forgetting: does this game have better graphics than it’s older arcade version? I saw the arcade version at my local flea market yesterday and it had some seriously ugly graphics. It looked like Virtua Fighter 1 with weapons. I don’t remember the home version looking that bad at all…I should dl this game for my psp before I go to “no-gamer’s land” next weekend (Quincy, Fla).
