I know you Kilik fans want to see him return, but in all honesty, it would be pretty sad and sexist of Namco if by having the 17-yr jump, they only replaced the female cast lol. Maxi was the perfect opportunity to bring in a new nunchaku user, but instead they just made him an older Elvis.
Considering who’s left to be announced, my money is on Kilik or Yunseong being replaced by a younger self. Likely Yunseong though cause no one likes him so may as well give him a new coat of paint. The other male characters like Yoshimitsu, Cervantes, Zalsa, etc. are most certainly just going to come back as themselves as they’ll look no different aged up and can’t reasonably be replaced. Lizardman, I think, has been cut. Too many small shield users.
edit - Also to yah: Raph was kept in cause he’s a vamp yo, he doesn’t age. Plus he probably went all Blade and is vamp vampire-hunter, going by his new look.
Seeing as Cass is likely not returning (and we get two Sophie clones - both Pat and Py are closer to Sophie than Cass), I might be maining her as well.
Here’s hoping for some Urien level shenanigans.

I actually expect her to take things to a new level. I haven’t seen much of her gameplay, but it seems she can leave her sphere mid or low.

Patroclus is TOTALLY NEW CHARACTER. Dont let the sword and shield fool you. Pyrrha is like a Soph/Cass combination. Judging from one of the CAS revealed, and the Short Soul Edge sword, its possible she could still be a “SophMare”.
Jax just stated that you can’t do left right unblockables in the game.
Aww. Well, Viola’s “Aegis” is still going to be interesting.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Cass returns as an older MILF. If Sophitia is in fact the boss/new host of Soul Edge, or however the story goes, Cass would certainly have a reason to still be in the fight. Plus, from watching a lot of Pyrrha videos, sure she has a few moves reminiscent of Cass, particularly her CE, but she’s almost 90% a Sophie clone imo.

On a unrelated note, I totally heard Harada say Lizardman was the new host for the Soul Edge, and the switch happens at the mid-point of the game.
Is Z.W.E.I. voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, because his design screams JYB (angsty anime moon angst).
Z.W.E.I. looks pretty fun to play, but i really really really don’t like his design, so im probably gonna just use a Custom character with his weapon.
