Well I guess its not exclusive since he should be available later down the line but still. DLC characters are annoying.
This Jan 31 launch date… I hope they’re not rushing this out the gate early to avoid SFxTK… I mean this game has to be done in less than 3 months before it goes gold…

I’m actually a little concerned about the 1/31 release date. It seems way too soon. I’ll be surprised if some stupid glitch or exploit isn’t discovered within the first couple of months after release. It’s a SoulCalibur game, after all. That said, I do like what has been done with SC5 so far for the most part, so I’ll probably be pre-ordering the shit out of it.

Don’t really appreciate you telling me to blow you Namco.
I’m not a fan of the particle effects. They take away from the character animations. Every attack has a funky fire or electric aura on it. And they don’t look all too amazing. Hopefully they polish that up before release.
Finally a reason to care at all about SCV.

Ezio is probably the best guest character I’ve ever seen in a fighting game. He fits so well that If I didn’t know the AC franchise I would easily believe he’s part of the SC world.
Ezio as a guest character was a quite cool decision indeed. But Dampierre as dlc simply sucks.

But if Dampierre is exclusive to preorders, then he would be banned because not everyone will have access to the character. Then once that exclusivity period ends and people have time to learn the matchup, he would be legal. Relax.
Chances are that he’ll be only a timed exclusive - Namco will not deny additional money from DLC.

But I just wanted to take a moment to mention that I am expecting the same thing that happened with the DLC in SC4 to happen in SC5 where it was a timed exclusive. But I don’t care since I’m preordering the game anyway. At least it’s not DLC fucking gems or cards. Peace out.
