The males haven’t aged either. Maxi literally just looks like his SC4 model with some new digs, and all that changed about Siegfried was the tint of his hair.
All of the characters, minus Siegfried, look exactly the same. They pretty much copy and pasted their models from the last game into this one.
How do we even know that’s Tira? She looks too young there. I think it’s a replacement.
A replacement that looks just like her other than some slightly softer facial features? It’s gonna be her man.
Tira could be using makeup.
Meh, I only really like Hilde, and Tira is fine. Maxi? Seems like a waste when we could have got a better nunchaku character. I’m never happy to see Voldo in all his nastiness.
Mitsu definitely looks more rugged and/or bummy than before. As for some of the other characters how much exactly can you tell from these short clips? Hilde is covered from head to toe in armor. We should at least wait until their alts or something are released before calling most of them copy paste jobs.

Tira’s art and model have disproportionate bust size. And what the fuck is up with Voldo and that bee suit?
Maybe Soul Calibur females don’t actually physically age till they hit 40, and guys when they hit 50… and Voldo, well would we really be able to tell?
Actually, upon further observation, Voldo’s codpiece looks like a spiders head (with a dudes head stuck on it) and his mask has 8 “legs.” So what he is then, is a fruity, bee coloured spider. Oh Voldo you old fag you.
Didn’t think Voldo could get any creepier. Daishi proved me wrong. He’s a borderline Cho Aniki character now.
And Tira’s costume looks like a mix between her SC3 costume and her SC4 alternate costume. Me likes.
I like Tira’s new outfit, but I like her SC4 2P costume better. I also wish she had bigger boobs like in the drawing.
Voldo’s crotch thing… yup, he’s still a weirdo.

I love the artwork, and those new stages look really good. SC5 is shaping out pretty well.
Seeing Tira back makes me very happy; I’ve finally got at least one of my mains! All I need is Astaroth and you’ve got yourself a deal, Project Soul.
That said, I do want to see more brand new characters. So far, we’ve got four new characters and six returning veterans. I don’t mind seeing returning classics, but this is being billed as the “new generation” of Soul Calibur. If the roster ends up being say…25-30 characters, I want at least half of those to be brand new. It might just be one of those things that this series needs to reinvigorate itself…in addition to solid gameplay, of course.
It’s already been mentioned by the developers that half of the cast will be new characters and half returning characters in SC5. We still have a long way to go before we see all of the characters that will be on the roster.
If this is true, I am seriously bummed about seeing Hilde. If she gets in over someone like Mina or Sets, I’m gonna be pissed. What a waste of a slot.
