I like both actors, but I always thought Hewitt was a better fit. I like her voice more because it sounds more evil and “warrior-like”. The laugh on the sample sounds very unscrupulous, and I like that.
Minella reminds me more of one of those teachers with glasses, holding a ruler in their hand ready to spank you.

In general I liked the Soulcalibur II voices cast far better than the current cast. Ivy is no exception. Renee just does a better Ivy imo.
This x1,000,000. Kilik sounded badass, Cervantes sounded like a REAL pirate, Yun-seong didn’t sound like a teenage boy going through puberty… My god, I could go on forever.
Soul Calibur 2 remains my favorite because Nightmare raped face in that game. A shame they gave the maority of his good stuff to Sigfreid.

its looks…okay. still seems a bit slow, but i made sure to watch some SC2 vids to make sure i wasnt wearing rose colored glasses on that game. i think itll be easier to understand the game as it gets closer to release and when i get my hands on it to make up my mind about it. but so far, im still slightly skeptical.

Yun-seong himself has a chance of not making it in this game due to the time skip, so why do people think Hwang has a shot?
I hear you on that notion! I actually don’t even dislike Yun-seong, but he’s no Hwang. And I don’t see why we can’t have both.
And while it is true, they said no Hwang a while back, there is a petition for him (see my signature) and not only that, but at EVO Hwang was brought up and a lot of people seemed interested in Hwang, especially over Yun-seong. Daishi and Harada were surprised by this, so if we can make it known to them that people do want Hwang, then who knows? He could be a last minute addition or possibly DLC. The whole reason why Hwang has been absent in the new games is because for whatever reason, the devs thought he was not popular. Which makes me lol because there’s no evidence for or against that. But I sure as heck am trying to disprove that theory if I can.
I dont understand why they didnt bring back every single character ever? Hwang is a BEAST I destroyed with him back on the Dream cast days, he was to me, Mitsurugi’s rival.
They want to reboot the series. I wasn’t initially for the idea either. I just figured it’d be all of the old characters plus a small handful of new ones. Instead we’re getting half old half new. I use the term new loosely. We’ve seen ONE character with a unique style. The rest are replacements that will essentially be the same in some way. Not that that is a bad thing, but it just seems pointless to replace a number of beloved characters with something similar.
Still, Hwang is a character they should consider. He’s already been screwed out of SC II, IV and to a lesser extent III where he was a bonus character/arcade exclusive. He deserves this. Most characters had the luxury of returning for all sequels, but Hwang, Li Long and others didn’t. He’ll be 49 years old, which is about the exact same age as most of the Tekken males, not to mention Olcadan and Edge Master are old fossils and they fight better than anyone, so age is not an excuse.
