This film is at least fifteen years too late.
I really think it’s going to bomb. Somebody must love the producers or is really clueless about the fad-nature of entertainment technology.
Outside of the smaller hardcore gaming community, Sega has basically become Atari… Atari who???
There are some things you can make people wait on IF you can keep the interest up with tie-in’s like books and games – another Star Wars film, a Star Trek remake with a NEW cast – but there are other things that are just too much a product of their time and tied in to personalities who have aged like everyone else. (Seeing Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones now is kind of sad… At least as sad as it was to see Sean Connery playing James Bond again in the early 1980s in Never Say Never Again.) Most of us know people in general HATE history… Human beings tend to be very shortsighted, in the moment, and oblivious to the way things get manipulated over and over again. History Channel fanatics are few and far between which is why even the History Channel has turned into another reality TV channel!
Hardcore gaming fans might watch a Sega/Nintendo movie but it’ll go down as well with the general public as the Super Marios Bros movie did!
Not a huge fan of Rogen, either… The guy rubs me the wrong way. Seems like a douche in real life…
fuck seth rogan. he’s a f@g trying real hard to be funny but fails horribly at it. why does he keep making movies and who re these dumb fucks that pay to see his movies?
too bad he wasn’t sitting next to paul walker during the crash. he might just be the guy who i want to see an end to asap. or see him leave the film industry, but since this ain’t likely i’ll take option 1 please.
It’s 5 years too late. It’s a comedy targeting the middle-aged, who by now should be mature enough to recognize how stupid video game bickering is. 15 years ago is too soon, imagine Sega fans right after Dreamcast 's death fuming over a console war movie distributed by SONY PICTURES. Riots and bloodshed.
