Ah there is a thread. Im just finishing up season 3.
I was really iffy on the show for the first maybe 8 episodes but since the end of Season 1 ive been hooked. Great series. Its just a little odd that there isnt any nudity or coarse language considering the subject matter. It still manages to be gritty enough though.
Just finished season 1. Its great how accurate it is in the biker lifestyle. The show is damn intense.
One complaint i have about this show is that the Direction of all the action scenes are pretty awful.
WTF did they introduce that “no blacks rule” all of a sudden? (two episodes ago) kinda lame of Sutter to do that and never set it up previously. Oh well, it’s still good. Clay’s a hypocrite of course and I have no idea how the club is going to survive this season as they are getting reamed internally fighting against each other and with that fed making a RICO case after them.

A lot of MC’s have a “No Blacks” rules. Even the bandidos which have a bunch of Mexicans in it. Need to catch up on the new episodes but yeah, as Lando said, it is pretty common. A lot of them have strict rules on the bikes they can use, its either Harleys or nothing. Don’t think they rid harleys on the show, but that’s probably due to budget reasons.
Yeah I thought they were cool with blacks they have that black MC on their side and shit.
yeah but it would’ve been nice if it was set up previously even in passing so it doesn’t look like an artificial conflict that was suddenly raised.
Well there is a difference with being cool with a black MC club and having black members
plus there is the regular blacks gangs too… Charming is crazy!

This show is my life blood. It’s one of the few shows I can watch over and over and never be bored.
Season 4 has been great. I’m loving what they are doing with Bobby Elvis and Piney.

I’m gonna have to see if there’s any anthropology research done on gangs to find you a reason. 99% of the time, if they were wearing a swastika, they were doing it just to piss people off. Although I kinda agree, they didn’t hit at shit the entire time when it came to Samcro’s position on the matter; so it really does feel like mashing ultra for material. Its accurate, but yeah, considering they have two random puerto ricans, it is pretty pointless. It works though because Puerto Ricans in the U.S. aren’t raised like Puerto Ricans in the island. Over there its pretty much beaten into you that you are made of the native Tainos, the spaniards that shit on everybody and black slaves. Its part of our history, music, food, our culture was created out of that mixture. In the U.S. though, it becomes a whole separate issue (although I can’t give good reasons as I don’t have books on how it changes, only a hypothesis or two as to why it did).
That went down? Now I have to watch episode 4 and get caught up. That’s gonna be some crazy stuff.
We had 3 seasons of her, so she had a more than epic build up. Honestly, had the show ended last season, I would’ve been completly fine with it since it was mostly wrapped. How the new stuff ends is depedent on ratings; hopefully this guy gets as much a build up as Stahl. Although she was a fucking epic cunt.
Stahl was insane. Everyone wanted that bitch dead. I marked out so hard when Opie blasted her in the back of the head.
That may be but she was hot. ATF was some bullshit, it was filled with cougar/milfy goodness.

Yeah. Hale’s slow rise to power has been present since season 1 when he tried to take Oswalds land (and kept trying until he succeded inbtween s3 and 4). He has been shady since the beginning using corrupt tactics, politicians, and money. He wants to control Charming as much as SAMCRO. Which is why they clash. SAMCRO is the lesser of many other evils (Though they run guns they keep any drug dealing, prostitution, keeping charter business etc… out of charming). But with Hale he wants to control the town through money and greasing the right peoples palms. He claims it’s progression but its all kick backs and money for him.
Jacob Hale. The current mayor. Not David who died at the beginning of Season 3.
And I damn near cried when they killed off Sack.

Sutter is a very gifted writer. He’s one of the main reasons The Shield was successful as it was. He started off as a contributed and slowly worked his way up to one of the executive producers and head writers IIRC. The Shield was amazing from beginning to end and it lasted 7 Seasons iirc?
Sons will probably last 5 seaons. 6 at the absolute most. This Season has A LOT of internal and implosive elements to it that could be setting up the beginning of the end of SoA.
I kinda wish that David hadn’t died. His perspective on the whole thing was really interesting because he was riding a very odd grey. Considering all the stuff happening now, he would’ve been perfect there. Jacob Hale is a motherfucker though.
Yeah. I was kinda pissed about Taylor Sheridan wanting to leave the show for seemingly no reason. He was one of the most interesting characters on the show. He knew all of SAMCRO, knew what they did, respected some of it, despised a lot of it. He was also that thin line between knowing what was right and knowing what was right for Charming. Because he knew despite their illegal activities that SAMCRO did in fact protect Charming from a lot of bad shit. Plus he didn’t hate any of the SAMCRO members as people. He hated them for their activities.
That’s some bullshit. Been wanting to watch The Shield, might have to scope out some seasons; that and The Wire. I’m pretty sure this was supposed to be David Hale’s season but his GGPO forced them to rewrite stuff. So conflicted because he was so good as David Hale but its kind of a whack move.
