This latest development with Tara is interesting. The character has been situated as an odd mirror to Gemma. While Gemma manipulated people and used illegal tactics, Tara is doing the same but using the full weight of the law to her advantage.
In some ways the reactions to the end of the episode reflect how we feel about cops, lawyers etc. They are bullies with a license to bully. In a show full of outlaws, having a character resort to legal trickery to get her way seems underhanded.
The use of the legal strategy by Tara could also be said to reflect the educational backgrounds of both women. Gemma, having stayed in Charming her whole life, was educated in a rough world. The culture she knows how to maneuver don’t necessarily involve due process for all things. Tara, having left Charming, received a far more formal education. The culture Tara knows how to maneuver involves legalize, due process for many things (especially when it comes to documentation i.e. custody).
It is very obvious that both women are just as smart and driven towards their goals. The biggest difference is in how they are using the law (or lack there of) to their advantage. We have seen the power of violence, manipulation, and capitalism. It seems that we are about to see the power of properly maneuvering the legal space of life. One which holds a severe advantage to those who do.

I dunno man they kinda went out of character for clay biting peoples noses off and shit. There are now officially no sympathetic characters in this show at all. Jax became a monster and so did Tara.

Next season is stated to be the last, although Sutter explored the possibility of making an 8th season if he feels like he got shit to say still.
Clay was basically channeling Otto, who knows what he went through in genpop these last 2/3 eps we didn’t see him. Only thing I didn’t like was how noseguard (…) didn’t straight up kill Clay. Can’t even smell PUSSSSSSSY anymore

great episode. looking forward to seeing how jax handles the current situation. i thought clay was a bit out of character with the nose bite. a simple head butt would have done fine, but late night writing sessions might have just had it be what it is, and or this is just a small intro to who clay will become, as he fights his way to live in jail and eventually break out.
im looking forward to those corrections officers getting that work from the recent revelation. i think tara is going to die, and its going to be really fucking sad, even though she turned her back on everyone, it is obviously for logical reasons. yes she chose this life, but i still have sympathy for her. where the club is now, compared to the first season is a big fucking 180.
i think juice is definitely going to die soon. hes been trying the past few episodes, but no one in the club has really picked up on it. just thinking its him being a bad ass. i wouldnt doubt juice making it to the next season though. hes like low key beloved by the writers at least, and he has his fans.

Compared to everything else they’ve done, including snitch/faux-snitch related stuff, they did worse. I think that post-club explosion Jax really didn’t want a war, both for the good of the club and in respect of his father’s final visions via his journal.
However, once Jax gets through with Tara, and then finds out about his father’s true death, I think the bloodshed from him will be unleashed in full and hurt the club permanently in the process.
So they bring back that homeless chick - who I actually thought was the pipe wrench girl the entire time until the end lol - and Oswald…so whatever happened to the Mayans and their leader Alvarez? Dat recurring status… Plus they still didn’t explain why August let Tig go…

So I can see the disgust towards Tara, but I don’t understand why folks are giving Jax and Gemma passes. I mean if I remember correctly Gemma was driving high with the babies and she crashed, thus injuring the children. Abel has been kidnapped involved in an explosion, etc. I guess my thing is that Tara is at the point to where she just wants to get her kids to safety. Her methods were low, but with that being said who can argue that the life that the children have been living is acceptable or suitable for anyone?
