Sonic the Hedgehog v2.0 Continuum Shift (Sonic Colors!)

More to the Sonic-Jackson connection.

The combination of 19, 65, 9, 17, 1, 9, 9, 2, 1, 1, 2, 4 was just broken as hell. The debug mode combined with SS was too good, I remember you could even bounce on those 2 player vs boxes for various happenings. Sometimes the game would just chop up, other times the game would ZOOM right to the end (if you had to fight a boss on that stage it would just skip there).

I hated S3’s code input. It’s gotta be up there with some of the most fustrating code inputs of all time. I really wish that the debug in 3 somehow allowed you to play games that were taken out, I mean you could still listen to unplayable stage music IIRC.

Sky Base 1 was not fun as a kid, so was 2 (the screen was just too small to predict anything)

my brain believes you but my ears do not. Stage 3 in S1 is a dead on MJ track.

I don’t think that’s MJ you’re hearing…it’s Bobby Brown

Their difficulty was ridiculous, but I loved the stage concepts. Final Fortress in Heroes is kinda similar, probably why I like it so much.

I wish there were a code or a ROM hack for Sonic 2 that would allow me to play as Super Sonic, but still hear the normal BGM.

Also as far as Super Sonic being playable in all the levels, he was with the exception of Emerald Hill 1. Other than that you could play as Sonic or Hyper Sonic on every level of the Genesis games.

Dude…such an amazingly annoying cheat. I remember when I beat the game as a kid, but I lost it, so I bought another copy. I didn’t feel like beating all over again to get to Icecap Zone, so I said “To GameFAQs!”. Cheat code looked easy enough. Little did I know the time frame for putting the code in was smaller than the average length of a Sonic Rush level. Holy crap, I had to reset the Genesis so many damn times, and I heard that little opening tune a million times. Duuuuun, Dun-DUN, Dun dunnahnahnahnah, dunnahnahnahnahnah…

That was the problem, you couldn’t just reset the genesis by controller at the time. Your ass had to sit waaay close to the TV because you just knew that shit wasn’t gonna work the first couple of times. :bluu:

At least when it did work it was worth the effort, the debug was simple enough. I remember going knuckles way a lot  oddly enough some of the level designs were still intact.

lol…my mj stanism has blinded me from any other thought except mj def had a hand in sonic somewhere.

WTF, Ryo’s a DLC character now?!

If I have to pay for this…
Mind you, I’ll most likely be getting the European version.

This is getting weird. Sega America is dissing us a lot for whatever reason. First Bayonetta…

I was sorta shocked a few years ago when I still remembered all 3 codes, while teaching my 5 year old neice to play Sonic games. Shocked and pleased.

My favorite stages are often heavily influenced by my favorite music:
Starlight Zone
Mushroom Hill Zone

And, pinball inspired stages are always fun:
Casino Night Zone (2 player VS)

Also, basically every Zone 1 in almost any Sonic game ever. Grassy green and blue afternoon with optimistic, happy music and no stress of the difficult stages to come…that’s like nirvana to me. I want to physically LIVE in the Green Hill Zone. Seriously. With the song “Marry Me?” by Dreams Come True playing on loop.

P.S. And, even though it’s a pain, Eggmanland speed stage from PS2 Unleashed is really cool after you beat it. Before you beat it, it’s the worst stage ever.

In terms of music:

Icecap
Flying Battery
Lava Reef (Act 1)

Tails better just come out with it already and admit he’s gay in this one

Rexx posted up in the 360 thread that the Sonic & Sega All-Stars Demo is on Xbox Live

Played the demo. I was excited about the game at first, but now I’m considering canceling my pre-order.

I have issues with the Mario Kart games, but at least I’m able to see the upcoming sections of track. In the SASR demo, I had a hard time seeing ahead. The graphics are pretty but much of the track meshes with the stuff that isn’t track.

R accelerates and the demo doesn’t have a button config. I wanted A to accelerate. Hopefully the final game has a button config.

Power-sliding seems very imprecise with either of the cars (Sonic’s or Banjo’s).

Also, it has the Mario Kart handicapping problem: better items for the guy in the back.

I really wanted to like this game. I didn’t have a lot of fun playing the demo.

The aura that surrounds Dr. B is made up of tiny, inexhaustible red shells.

I was my assumption that any kart game with items has the “better items for the guy in last” feature

that still doesnt mean they are going to win…have you seen high level Mario Kart gameplay?

Im hoping they have view change via crusin usa…

it takes alot to impress you specs. if Dr.B was confirmed you would have preorded years ago…if I give the thumbs down then im saving everyone money which is my community service for the month

who is dr. b?

Hyper Sonic will return.

Some vids for those who haven’t or can’t play the demo
