It needs a lot more than that. Those graphics need to be toned down. Too bright and busy but the lighting effects and rain effects are cool as hell. I’d like to see what those guys do in a year.
Off topic but worth mentioning. Played SoR Remake yesterday man it’s like they are almost finished! The CPU partner is crazy. Put him on aggressive and I just backed the fuck up.

It looks like game play wise remix guys want to mimic genesis sonic perfectly and to do that sonic needs to accelerate a bit faster as it is he takes a little too long to reach top speed and when he does it’s obviously a little bit slower then what we remember him capable of. The bounce back on enemies is a much bigger issue though, when I jump on an enemy I barely pop back up which makes it impossible to jump on multiple enemies before I hit the ground which is totally unacceptable I want to be able to bounce from enemy to enemy like in the genesis sonics dammit! Also if you kill an enemy by hitting them from the side you don’t get any bounce back at all.
I love the art as is. Waterfalls could be animated better but otherwise, if nothign changed it would be fine with me.

I’ve only ever played the dreamcast and the trial looks like its ported from a different version (GC/PC maybe?)
Well I know the GC version (DX) has slightly different graphics (looks like some sorta cell shading effect…kinda) so yeah, if it looks like that it probably got lifted from that port.
Sonic Colors is looking really, really, really good. Cautiously optimistic at this point in time.

man…I’ve worked so hard to make sure to keep my expectations down for Colors and then one of my boys starts blowing up my phone at work (and each time the message comes in…I collect a chaos emerald) talking about how the game got leaked apparently and someone was playing it on a justin stream. THEN there’s IGN’s review (8.5) which has been pretty much echoing mostly what the other reviews from the other sites in the other languages. I had to tell him to cut it out cause he was going to ruin me.
I just don’t know anymore lol…I’m gonna go browse gaf after I finish doing my game news research.
