No filter for me. I love pixel art and these sprites are amazing.
This.
Same reason I wont turn on filters for all the old school genesis games. Kids these days are spoiled with their blur filterwhatsits and anti-alamos
Three looks good enough for me. Even though I’m still a bit disappointed.
First thing I’ll do when I get the game is set it to off.
can anyone make a video on youtube showing the differences for those of us without the game?
Here’s a 720p vid I put up with it set to filter 3. (Make sure you hit the HD button)

I’ll try to get one with it off later
EDIT: Any HD arcade vid on youtube should show you the off setting.
Game is too jaggie without 'em, but at 3 gets too blurry, so it’s 2 for me.
I have it set to 3 and it looks great. I should do a test on all 3 levels. I really think the level differs from user depending on the type of TV they are using and the resolution you have your PS3/X360 set to.
I play on 3 and I havent experience any lag offline. You better check your TV’s ms response time. Anything above 8ms is no good.
im playing it on a 42" samsung 720p with hdmi connection. with filter “off” there are a lot jaggy lines , i’m using filter 3 but still jaggy, not as bad. any suggestions?
This is how the game suppose to look like. =\
Bro I’m having the same jaggy lines issue. Right now I’m using filter 3 but the characters look blurry and jagged. Would this just be a tv issue?
im sure it is a tv issue., i was just playing on a SD tv and it looked fine.
here’s the wiki page on pixel art

I applied the Scale2x filter to the KOF12 sprites.
Here’s some test pics:

I know most of us seem to hate filters (dandyJ hates me and everything I stand for! ), but I think most would agree that hqnx or scale2x is still much better than the blur filter currently implemented.
let the hate flow!
i love big ass pixels
I can’t stand the filtering. Makes the sprites all blurry and dull and they stand out against the background.
No filtering for me.
But if you can somehow get this scale2x to Ignition or SNKP Japan then maybe they could patch the graphics haha! :looney:
seriously that filter is too good and this is coming from someone who always turns filtering off. Scalex2 seems to really smooth out the pixels in a top tier sort of way.
It looks amazing with the Scale2x.
I like them all for HD TVs, but am partial to off now despite thinking it looked really rough at first.
I don’t have a filter on. When they’re close together, I just feel like I’m playing 3s
