What he said. Also, ya got a time when the SG tourney starts? (11am? 2pm? 6pm?)
Planning a start time? You’re asking too much. :^)
We can make the tourney on Saturday, sure. IT’S ON SATURDAY. But the game’ll be there all the days.
shit its next weekend huh. i really need to get on more practice. havent really practiced much besides Salty cupcakes since the patch dropped. im still going for the fun and greet aspect. good times with good people can never be bad.
Translation: “Putting my excuses in place now.”
Who was it that said the anime scene needs more shit-talking? (^.^)
Oh you!
I shall work hard enough to win a match against Mike. Thats all I need now. Let the gauntlets be thrown.
Should i still bring my PS3???
Lets try to run the tourney around 4 on sat. Yea dude you gotta bring your own console lol Qetzl confirmed the extra pot. Update the op again please scrub?
Okay
Yes, bring setups. Better to have too many than not enough!
Kool, ill be taking my monitor, ps3 and a few extension cords. Ill get there Saturday round 10 am or 11. Oh yeah does anyone live around Oxnard or closer to Oxnard than me? WingZero needs a ride. Me and Viro might be able to but we live the Farthest from anyone (Victorville)
I live by culver city but I still offered WingZero a ride to SCR.
if anyone lives between oxnard and irvine that needs a ride I can lift 2 more peeps.
Ill probably leave around 11 or bit earlier from my pad to pick up Wing and head to SCR.
Yea thanks panda I really appreciate it.
I don’t mind driving people if they make it to my place (basically 1 block from Frootsii). Bang usually does that, and it might be a better overall deal for WingZero and Panda then for Panda to drive something like a 6-hour round trip…
That works too. If Wing catches a ride with you i can take 3 peeps that live between Culver and Irvine.
i wouldnt mind i just don’t have the car on Saturday so if Bang is going maybe i could catch a lift with him to Mikes…ugh now I feel like a pest. XD
Hey everyone if you’re coming can you sign up on the challonge. People who were having trouble with the link copy and paste it or just message me on there with the name you’re gonna use.
Oh also anyone looking to share a room?
Alright my bro and I will be at the tourney on Saturday to get some Skullgirls hype or stand around like awkward people
So yea. im picking up WingZero afterall. if anyone lives between oxnard and irvine i can lift about 1 or 2 more peeps. i dont have a super spacious truck. the back can feel a bit cramped.
To repeat myself:
And to repeat Valle from the SCR side tournament thread:
Let’s talk about the community, and let’s talk about the dangerous message we’re sending here.
Skullgirls has been out less than a year. It was made my an extremely talented group of people, some of which were working long years on the project before any official funding came from a publisher. During actual production the art was completed with the help of contractors drawn out form the professional contacts, friends, and deviantart.com followers of the full time art team. The extensive pre-release balance testing, which proved stronger than many majorXrelease games, was from fighting game community volunteers. Close followers could practically watch it in real time on relevant, SRK featured tournament streams. The community managers appeared frequently on these very forums the entire time.
What are we really looking at as a measure of “community support”?
SG has had the largest and best organized side tournaments that I’ve ever seen at a major event. The players for a SG tournament are already going to EVO. The volunteers and tournament organizers that ran those side tournaments are already going to EVO. The entire team that made the game has been attending, supporting, and competiting in EVO. Not on company dollars as a promotional tool, but because they actually want to be there. To see a 12 year old game, with developers that go out of thier way to keep the game away from high-test tournament play, chosen over SG is pretty crushing. It’s like watching ripe fruit rot on the vine or a half complete DLC character get scrapped.
It’s a solid message to the entire video game industry than the fighting game community doesn’t want anything new or interesting.
