Great seeing everyone again. Also good to see a new face. Manny… w/ a surprisingly decent Freeman. I’m glad there were two setups this time. Less waiting my losses. Good games to everyone… esp Noc, whom I think I played the most against this time and beat me down w/ all the characters… damn air priority. Yeah… there was alotta love for Tizoc this time. Fun character for me since his play is completely diff than Rock. Oddly, I don’t think I had a chance to play Osc this time in Garou. But, it was cool playin’ against him in 02… $!@#'in Vanessa! and I found out the hard way that the DC and arcade timing is quite different. All in all… good times. Hope to play everyone again the next time I’m in the area.

The thread is alive again ha…right now we are in the middle of planning for another meet around next month. Maybe the end of this one but I doubt it…but you never know. It all depends on who can offer their place to host a meet and if everyone can make it that day. I welcome everyone to join this meets for some great Garou competition. As soon as we have everything planned out we will post the details on this thread. So keep an eye out here and we will keep everyone informed on when, where the next meet will take place. Well hello guys. At this moment I am full of happiness and joy, so I will not talk shit in this post. As most of you guys SHOULD know KOF has a big chance of being an official tourney at EVO. Finally all the work, posting, convincing, persuading, and specially BEAGING has finally paid off :party:
I count in all of you to show your support for this game, as if it was GAROU.(specially OLDMAN since it seams that he has some sleeping KOF skills inside of him :karate: ) After all its an SNK game, something that has never been seen at EVO and we can not let it down. Hopefully all of you can make it I know I will go for sure :tup:
GAROU defenetly has my vote as most of you know its my second love so if they have it that will be perfect (BTW there are no secrete characters at EVO), and if they dont have it hopefully will still have it at the BYOC. You know I will defenetly be joining.
BTW we (K4Z) will be making some new shirts for evo and I thought that if the usual 7 at the Garou get togethers made something like a team, and make something like a logo so will can be recognize (believe me it works like a charme :bgrin: ) not a shirt mabe one of those stickers that you iron to your shirt but custome made will be great. I even though of a name

Where the hell do we vote on what games we want at the tourney? Cause Garou has got my vote for sure.
No secret chars in Evo? F!!! THAT!!! :mad: Boss Battle BIIIIYOTCH!!! I say if the participants are cool with it (after taking a vote, it should be allowed… that along with preset buttons - as long as they don’t involve commands - just multiple buttons, and use’n your own controller). Sure, in most other games, bosses and hidden characters tend to be overpowering, but thatz just not the case in THIS game. EVERYONE is fair game (including the so called low tiers like Tiz and Free). Advantages and disadvantages of chars in this game are not an overwhelming factor. This is part of the reason why this game is one of THE most well balanced fighters EVER made.
Actually, I’m pretty sure MOTW will not stand a chance of get’n in this year. I believe this will be between only a few other games (some of these seem to be past evo games with some new entries of course). PERHAPS the follow’n year… hopefully it gets back to Suth’n Cali… AND STAYS THERE!!!

The drive to Vegas is about 5hrs so all of you are interested in coming along for the trip let me know (believe me 5hrs aint shit to me after drinving 24) I also agree that MOTW has a good chance of being at EVO all you need is to start advertising it. About the secret characters, the only issue is how would a final look with GRANT vs GRANT what would people who dont really understand the game would think and consider about joining, so talk to wizard about that.

Just got back from work and saw the news, even though I already knew about it being in Vegas ha. Either way Garou and KoF got my votes for sure…even if Garou doesn’t make it theres always console room. I need to find out where we can vote for games cause I’ll vote a million times haha. I have an idea for shirts…or stickers…have like some dope lettering. Make it say, “SoCal Garou Krew” or something like that ha…yea kinda corny I guess. Moo I can hook it up with some art…yes I do know how to draw…I think I might have told you that before. Well right now I mainly got work on the weekedays and weekends off pretty much. You can count that I’ll be going to EVO for sure and so should everyone from the Garou meets. Moo you better go man haha…I want to see what people will do agains’t your Terry-ist acts.
I think what we should do is like maybe rent a van or something and all ride together there. That way it will be cheaper for everyone and since it’s a pain to find parking in Vegast to begin with, also traffic :tdown:. I myself like to walk around Vegas…since the strip has everything pretty much close to each other. Great thing about Vegas hot chicks everywhere haha…well at least when I go all the time I see them. Well that shirt idea sounds pretty good if you guys want to add to what I made up ha. Oh yea and no boss characters suck balls :tdown:, we need to let them know whats up. Well if it comes down to it I’ll just master another character I suppose ha. Alright well things are looking good for the SNK community and I think it will only get better.
With all the new SNK games coming out here in the months for PS2 and Xbox…more people might pick them up now. Anything is still possible and right now with MLG working things with SRK. The community will only get bigger and bigger every year. Oh yea and I’ll try to see if I can get a mod PS2 by EVO so I can get Garou on that. DC is fine though with me and since most people are most used to that anyways. Alright well I think I typed more than enough…alright guys take care and keep playing.

Itz a little iffy on this end whether I’ll be make’n it too. We still have some time, so I’ll see whatz up. They had BETTER have a BYOC go’n on over there. Hopefully we’d at least be able to hold another small tourney. Another thing that I’d particularly be look’n forward to are $ matches (I know a certain someone is probably gonna be get’n hit up for a whole lot of these). I know I’m down.
Guess we should still be plan’n out the next casual tho shouldn’t we? One possible date is 5/14, another is some time during the Memorial Day w.e. (5/27-30). I think MOST of us tend to favor sats, but since Mem is a long w.e, this could be a possible exception time.

What should I draw? Something Garou related? I’ll see what I can do this weekend or maybe even tonight ha. I think everyone should really do their best to make EVO…if the Empire peps are up for some 5 vs 5 Garou Westcoast vs Eastcoast money match ha. That would be sweat but I think we all know who would win that one ha. During memorial weekend would be cool since my birthday is on the 27th, would be like a birthday meet ha. to make it easy why dont you just ask somebody from the imagemishmash forums to desing some thing with the GAROU logo. Guys I counting on you guys to go we need to start planing from now, like I told you if we go on a group it will be cheaper for all of us. Moo can you tell me a little more of your shirt stamping.
