So is the first post in the thread up to date w/ correct info ?
Obviously dashing isnt performed by pressing AB anymore
Is it performed by tapping L+M or ANY two attack buttons ? I’ve seen both being passed around as answers.
Are move shortcuts in(please no)?
Is the reversal window as ridiculous as SF4?
Does everyone have the same magic series?
Does the game devolve into short xx launcher like Rival Schools and all other games where the characters have the exact same chains?
- No
- Can’t really tell from what I’ve played
- No
- No. some chars can do Low, Medium, High, Launcher and some can’t. Some can do c.High, Launcher some can’t. But the c.ligh seems to be really good because of it’s chain abilities (can’t say if all chars have chainable c.lights) and the fact that hits low. Wolverine can’t chain 2 standing lights so you hitconfirm with s.light, s.medium, s.light or with c.lights. And how these chains will factor in terms of damage scaling is very important too and at the moment we can’t have a solid idea on how it’s going to factor in.
Windsagio, throws/air throws are done by pressing High near to your opponent.

red damage isn’t taken away when you air tag a character?
Nope, just the “dry” tag or the regular tag takes away red damage.
I have a few questions, first I’ll start with these about X Factor.
- Do you take more damage when you are in X-Factor mode?
When watching vids it seems to me that you probably do, but I haven’t seen it stated in this thread.
- Does X-Factor’s length depend upon the # of characters you have left, or the amount of life your characters have left?
Can someone who has played firsthand verify this? Please and Thanks.

You do NOT take more damage in x-factor. You deal more damage.

+40% damage for 30 seconds still seems ridiculously OP to me.
Hell yeah X-Factor is overpowered with one character left. :wow:
Just look at the beating A FULL HEALTH Dormammu takes from a X-Factored Wesker:

One air combo took about 70% of his health.
Pretty much depends how you feel about comeback mechanics in general (much like Ultras in SFIV) :clown: This pretty much guarantees I will never use X-Factor till it comes down to the wire…but that remains to be seen.
As far as I know the first posts are up-to-date. I need to restandardize the buttons to proper emotes’ tho, just being lazy.
K thanks guys, couple other questions.
Can someone who has played explain the differences between groundbounces and “slams” (I guess would be the name, whatever you wanna call it when the opponent gets knocked onto their back but don’t bounce back up, and can be OTG’d)???
When does each occur?
Can all characters combo after a groundbounce/slam?
is no ‘slam’, afaik.
The things you can do with a knockdown are ‘bounce’, ‘down’, and ‘forced back roll’. Bounce you just have to hit them. The other 2 you need dedicated OTG moves.

so my understanding about magic series is that some characters have a certain input in doing combos and some dont work for am i right? sorry but i am new to the series xD. my first time ever playing marvel.
LML is still technically magic series if you look at it like the 4 button layout from MvC2.
L H A1
M S A2
better than double tapping L. i like it
What do you input in order to perform PushBlock?
So wait… if in the simplest mode you tag by using the assist buttons, how do you tag in Normal Mode?
