I would consider Texas as being part of the West Coast. Hell… we are ‘mid’ west so why not? We got players too. It seems to be like Smoothcat says> Cali vs NY and not EC vs WC. NC, MD, NJ, FL, GA all have players and so does AZ, WA, NM, HI, etc…

I think UFGT 7 just proved the Mid West has some strong competitors out there for Marvel.
Its about consistency though imho, just because you can place a major once or a qual doesn’t mean you’re the best. 
i would run brackets myself at ECT if we could get a qual round robin for a 5 on 5 going.
A MIdwest major that outside of Rex the expected top names placed above everyone else proved the Midwest should be apart of an Evo event? Andre is my boy but I think it;s only once MW guys are scaring top players and making waves in tournament against them (a la Wolfkrone producing huge wins) then can you remotely suggest this. (And Josh is ONE guy in the MW)
MvC3 needs some actual rivalries/salt before this would be that exciting anyway – I’m hoping some big stuff happens AT Evo to build the foundation for future grudge matches. The regional thing had history and hunger fueling it for Marvel 2 – just having a regional showdown right now in a new game like this really isn’t the same yet.
Sounds like everyone wants in. Maybe there should be a side 5v5 tourney like a Salty Suite kind of thing. People from all over gather 5 man teams and they’ll make a tournament out of it. Obviously it’d need to be set-up a long time in advance but just judging on what everyone is saying, there could be a number of teams from SoCal, NorCal, All over NY and NJ, Florida, Mid West regions, Texas? Idk. But that would be really hype if this would happen.
How about we get a team for this?

Yo, on behalf of Rowtron I’d like to dispute that unofficial WC list. Nigga is a straight MONSTER.
But I will say this, a Regional 5v5 would be dope as fuck…and you can expect the Seattle/Northwest team to be in full effect if this goes down.

Unless you’ve placed top 5 in a major or you’ve proven that you can consistently beat someone who has, your name has no place being mentioned in this thread. They’re not looking for good players. This event is to showcase the best of both coasts.

On that note, picking a definitive 5 to represent each coast is damn near impossible in year 1 of this game. We haven’t had a chance to see what everyone can do yet. The difference between this and 2003 is that in 03, we had 2 years to see who the real winners were all over the country.
