So what happened to Gamerfinger?

Have had my buttons for a few days and have had no issues with stuck plungers with the stock silver switches (Had SOME issues with Kailh BOX Whites/78g Zealios/67g spring swap Gateron Reds) Fitting into the stick screw-in wise wasnt too much of an issue but inserting them into the panel is still a bit awkward. Overall I am happy with the purchase and that muted press feels nice, similar to the R2 buttons, but that shipping was crazy. Waited 3+ weeks for the buttons to even ship…

Wait. These clowns are trying to claw themselves back into the market…

And they take 3 weeks to SHIP your order? Pathetic.

Yeah, I was this close to opening a PayPal claim if they didn’t answer my last email. I like the buttons. I just wish they got their production together.

Maybe they can team up with MAS Arcade sticks.

They should supply to Akishop so it can be a month + 3 weeks B)

I mean…their idea was really cool: a noise-insulated button utilizing long-life keyboard switches. Awesome! Even with the sticking and popping plungers of the first gen—I shrugged it off. Though after the disaster that was the gen 3 launch, and over a year of radio silence…one would think that they’d want to be on the top of their game coming back into it.

It really doesn’t seem to be that way. Besides…with OBS-MX buttons for the Cherry MX lovers and Little/Big Kahuna pads for noise-sensitive Sanwa and Seimitsu users (like me) all I got for gamefinger’s this:

Who needs ‘em?

I mostly agree regarding the…suspect customer service issues. That said, Paradise Arcade doesn’t have a 24mm OBS-MX button yet which kinda sucks.

Yeah, true. But with the push for Project Magenta these days…it doesn’t look like PAS has given much recent interest to hitbox users (at least as far as 24mm button tech is concerned).

Yeah, I understand that they have priorities and, honestly, I can argue with prioritizing a new stick mod over a niche button mod. Hopefully, by the time they get around to 24mm buttons someone will have figured out how to make Topre arcade buttons.

Well we’ve had Alps and Cherry MX buttons. Topre seems like the next natural progression

That would be nice. Mostly because I can type on my Topre keyboard for extended period of time without finger fatigue or repetitive motion issues. Standard arcade push-buttons not so much.

I actually ordered my buttons on the 11th of Nov and I received them yesterday so was only 11 days total after purchasing online which is not bad at all considering it is coming from Taiwan. Looks like the picked up the pace everyone. The Gray Switches are really nice.

I just need a buckling spring button and I’ll be happy. I need my sticks to sound like this:

I thought about mentioning buckling spring, but remembered the sounds coming out of the IBM M keyboards in my typing class (ages ago) and went “nah.” Anything that reminds me of school gets omitted from use during game time

Anyone waiting on those 24mm gamerfinger buttons should check out their store looks like they finally put them up.

Yeah im trying to stock up on GF Buttons before they disappear again lol.

I ordered 8 30mm’s on Dec 21st and just got them today. It spent a while in customs but I think that’s because of the Christmas holiday rush with incoming present packages. They shipped it within 2 days though of ordering. So I think they finally got their act together. I’m gonna order another set just to have. I bought some blue switches for the ones I have from digikey and they sound and feel great. Easy to swap the switches.

Edit: BTW, I didn’t see this thread first so I opened a separate thread for this question: Do any of you know what button cut out type to use on Tek Innovations when ordering art? What fit’s the Gamerfinger clear plunger top? Seimitsu Cut outs or Sanwa? Thanks.

Just though I’d share this. The clear 24mm Gamerfinger buttons they are selling on the site right now, you can’t install button art in them. I bought 11 more of them for my Hitbox and art is a no go on in those suckers. The way the plunger is made makes it impossible, unless you put a hole in the middle of the button art. I still love the buttons though and they look great in front of my Kaimana J2 leds. I had to use electrical tape in my Panzer Hitbox to get the J2 leds to stay behind the buttons because the j2s don’t fit around them like they do Sanwas. Later dudes!

Did anyone else have issues with the gray switches? I was dropping inputs and couldn’t figure out why after testing the lines. Id figure that the switches are brand new so it couldn’t be them. I then decided to replace them all with reds regardless and now the issue is gone…

@DAyala Hey bro. The first set I bought around Christmas I got 8 Gamerfinger 30mm Screw in Clears for my Korean Panzer 3. I swapped all of them out with blue switches because I wanted more of an audible click. I got 11 Gamerfinger snap in 24mm clears for my Panzer Hitbox and right now I have the original silver switches in them. Haven’t had an issue. I took apart one to see if I could put art in the button and it came ALL the way apart on accident. You just have to make sure to squeeze the plunger down towards the bottom of the button really hard. Maybe they get a little loose during shipment. If you’re in USA, the buttons’ ride from Taiwan to America is a long bumpy ride.
