3rd Strike is about timing, reading the opponent, doing things that will work based on what you know, not doing what they will expect. You don’t even have to care what the opponent is going to do, you’re going to just do that shit, because you are a hardass. No wakeup is really the same. Timing and Positioning from walking up, or dashing up. If you were off at all, which is likely in a game of frames. 60 a second and a lot of things up close are going to be under 10 frames, 1/6 a second. Things can change a lot!

And what have you done on Yun’s wakeup before? What are you telegraphing by putting yourself in range for what you want to do? Are you trying to trick him with meaty that ends in time to hide your next move?

And I said nothing about the ambiguous stuff that can be the same after a Super, Ken’s Jinrai because I don’t know a lot about that. I agree with this except for the last part. I go easy on the guys with girlfriend. Not because I want him to get laid or anything but rather because I don’t want him to think I’m trying to get at his girl with my uber 3s skills. Not to downplay the value of it all, because I truly and deeply love 3s, but it’s silly in my mind to indeed think either of the branched thoughts resulting from having thought the opposite; “I’m going to humiliate this guy in front of his girlfriend” and “I’m going to make his girlfriend fall in love with me with my 3s skills”. I’d rather not consider her and tell myself that “This guy is a scrub…I’m going to mess around”.

As for my prior post, I couldn’t find the OTT thread, I think we changed it to Louis’ movie thread, and thought this was the most scholarly thread we had here. Guy there with his girl watching was pretty good @ CvS2 here. He said “They should have SF3 its my favorite game. Love that game.” what no way, it’s my favorite game I never get to play anybody here, but they sold it recently, that sucks. Yup. And he did the whole, Rock Howard whatever that is that ends in the rising tackle. Finally that damn thing is useful, only at the end of a remember every button like dozen hit Super Combo.

The 3rd Strike girlfriends thread was a how do you get them to play, so that wasn’t the exact subject. I wonder why we didn’t discuss that over there! The do you get weaker/all the way into retire when you find the right woman. And all this guy playing with girl around etiquette or its just whatever.

How many times one can spam back fierce with Chun within the first 10 seconds of the game, with one blocked attempt at hit confirming SAII with down forward, not getting hit, and parrying 2 down forward hit confirmation attempts?

Within a 3 number range; i.e. 5-7, 3-5, etc. How many combos will the average Yun player drop out of every 50 matches?
