SNK's "Tokyo Game Show" List revealed

It’s obvious that no one read the paragraph inside the link.

“We’ve translated the console/portable section of the list here. As you read, please keep in mind that this is only a partial list, and other games are expected to be shown for all platforms.”*

So, still no clue on whether it will be there or not.

It’s supposed to be released a month after World Heroes Gorgeous, followed by the Samurai collection a month after that. World Heroes is already up for pre-order.

Saiyajin11 You Zeon scum nice AV.

Anyway I dont think KOFXII will be there either because their still pushing 98UM pretty hard, obviously they want that to do well, kof12 would steele all the limelight.

Come on we have waited 10 years for this kof, another couple of months anit so bad.

Eh I don’t mind how long it takes to come out, it’d just be cool to see an example of what the updated sprites are going to look like.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the current SNKP didn’t have access to working SSV Special code. I remember the first print run of MVS cartridges they released had major problems, so they had to be recalled. From there I’m not sure what was done with them - this was back in like, 2004 / 2005. Thus, it might be the case that (like the Hyper NeoGeo 64 games), SNKP just doesn’t access to any versions of the game that work.

But if they do, damn them to hell for not including it in the collection. I want my character - specific fatalities, dammit. I might still buy the SamSho and WH collections, though, with SamSho getting first priority. And hopefully we won’t have to wait as long for these to get approved for North American release - it’s annoying when you buy the import copy and then find out a year later there’s a domestic release for half of what you paid for the JPN version :frowning:

The fatalitites were only in the first version of the ssVsp mvs carts. The carts that they released (fixes for the first versions) next fixed a serious bug, and took out the fatalities.

Don’t mind me: I’m just getting ready to cry.

There is a fixed version out there for Special with the fatalities and I think the bug gone. (unless it’s the Enja bug- which is banned as it can crash the game). Generally, the game is mostly played online- with a handful of good players in the US, Europe, and China (the game is popular in China)

Generally, Heavenly Spirits covers SS same way Cyberfanatix does KOF.

I think Sony will pulls PlayStation 2 US version this last year. Sony move to PS3! A deveploer can’t make the software US version on PS2 because sony has a software machine is discontiue for PS2.

oh shot! That’s history !

Well I read it, and I realize that means there’s still a chance, but that’s like Sega giving out an initial list and not mentioning a new Sonic game. Most companies are not good at keeping surprises secret, so I’d sorta expect to see KoFXII to be among the first sets of games we know about appearing.

I doubt Sony would force SNK Playmore to move to the PS3. SNK has stated that they don’t plan on doing any PS3 games for several years and these games are ports of older games that don’t show off the PS3’s potential. I think Sony’s probably perfectly happy to have them on the PS2 which is still making them money. The user base on the PS3 is very small compared to the PS2, so there’s a greater chance of selling more games on the PS2.

Ok. Apparently you need to work on reading comprehension then. Let’s try it this way:

“We’ve translated the console/portable section of the list here. As you read, please keep in mind that this is only a partial list, and other games are expected to be shown for all platforms.”

There are 3 PSP games overall at the show (of course plenty more will be announced). What the hell.

World Heroes Gorgeous (PS2) … world heroes hairstyling/makeup simulator maybe?

Thank you teacher!

All I mean is if you have anyone translating titles for SNKP, you think they would recognize a KoF game on sight. You’d assume it’d be in the initial list. At least I would, it’s SNKP flagship series. Of course they could have abritrarily stopped at anytime in the list, but it would make sense to me that you’d scan the list and translate the notable names first.

Especially considering the translator would probably have a much easier time translating the names of games from already known series, rather than new properties altogether.

But the attitude is appreciated anyway.
