As a once active member of the Smash community and former chronic masturbater, I never really took the time or found a reason to try to find any correlation between the two. At first glance the two subjects would seem worlds apart. However upon further inspection and much personal reflection of the matter, it seems that as I slowly became less interested in the Smash community, my intense sexual desire for my own body seemed to die down as well. It makes me wander if there are any subliminal sexual ( be it asexual or most likely homosexual ) undertones beneath the guise of smash’s PG-rated appearance. When you look at some of the terminology that comes from that particular community, it starts to become easier to make the connection ( for example calling “neutral”-type aerials things like “sex kicks”, saying a player is “getting off” when things are going his way, and the general emmo/weabo/homo qualities of the community in general )

I was really wandering if anybody else has had experiences similar to mine and if so, how do you think the two seemingly unrelated issues play off of each other.

Whatever your opinions are on smash and fapping, I’m just glad I was able to stop both when I did. I’m still not sure if the obligatory tranny fetish that came with taking part in the SRK boards was actually worth the trade off. I’ll just have to stick around a little longer to find out.
