Not sure if this is a strange question or stupid, but, Can you make the assist do an assist that is just them blocking? I’ve not really thought about it so it doesn’t sound good but part of me what’s to think that it’s something interesting. Can you do it in the current version and if not would there be any point?

Painwheel sounds like a hard counter against single characters.
What if that single character is Cerebella and can throw a million different ways through super armor?
I’m going through Alex’s art for the umpteenth time, and I saw this:

I DEMAND THIS BE A STAGE, MOVING TRAIN STAGES ARE THE BEST STAGES.

doing a launcher and holding upback would be a good counter to super armor as well (“suki cancelling”)
(which i hope is part of the game)
Thanks everybody for clarification about the speed, and lack of speed options in the game. I wasn’t around for the earlier discussion on the matter so please forgive my ignorance on the subject. With that being said I’m very hyped about this title. 2D hand drawn is the way to go,big ups to the production team! I’m looking forward to getting my hands on it.
Hey Mike_Z, I has a question!
When we were playing on day one 1 you noted that everyone kept picking the ‘NIGHT’ stage, and that we should switch it up. So when I got on I switched it to ‘DAY’ and then you said there was something in the stage that we would never catch onto (or that made it special). What was it?
:3
Hey Mike! Had a blast playing Skullgirls at ECT with you. I was the dude with the sonic hat. I can not WAIT for this game now.

No, not just blocking, but you can do dash forward or backward which amounts to the same thing, a meat shield.
As far as the stages go, look closer. (^.^)
Maybe this has been answered before, but will characters have special intros? Not with the animation, but with what they say? I think that’d be neat.
Also, with so few characters announced so far, and the end of the year coming closer and closer; I fear the game will be delayed 'till next year ;___;. Not that I’d be upset with it being pushed back, I’ll be fine as long as the game gets released (although if it were to get CANCELLED, I’d be pretty pissed haha).
They already have them. For example Cerebella says to Fillia “Headgear is MY gimmick!”
Peacock will also sometimes snidely say when going against Filia “Maybe she’s born with it…”
Don’t know if you guys saw the new Mike Z interview, it’s on the front SRK page, really cool shit. Mike says with DLC they want to get over 30 characters assuming they have the resources. Talked more about Parasoul being a trap and poke type character. I’m really really really looking forward to the game a lot.
Okay, that’s goddamn fucking awesome.
Yah, I learned what I wanted from his interview.

Random question for Mike Z: how has development of Skullgirls changed how you enjoy fighting games? Lots of times developers of games can no longer play games in their spare time because that line between work and play gets crossed and they just can’t enjoy it anymore. Do you find this to be the case with yourself? Like, do you get so sick of spending your whole day working on Skullgirls and posting in the forums about it and stuff that you just want to be done with fighting games for a while, and you can’t even really enjoy your own product anymore?

Hmm, interesting question.
I can’t play games in my spare time because I no longer have enough spare time, but I’m certainly not sick of it. I couldn’t continue to work on a product that I’m fed up with, and I find it hard to do work that I don’t enjoy - I always have. My co-workers hate that, heh, but it’s one of the things that helps me ensure that I do the best work possible because I want the best experience for myself with the resulting product.
I still enjoy fighting games very much, and wish I had more time to play. (I don’t play most of the recent ones, but that has nothing to do with working on SG. ;^) At ReveLAtions I found time for about 10 games of MvC2 and probably around that many games of GG in the tournament, but that’s all - the rest was talking to players, fixing bugs, and analyzing SG matches. I had a ton of fun with the few games I got, though…I miss playing, but when I do play I haven’t practiced so I also kinda miss not sucking. (^.^)
tl;dr - Talking to everyone for 5 minutes each adds up to three days. Next time you see me, offer to play something. :^)
While we grill you for information? =P
Yes! I fucking agree with this guy.
Shout outs to Psylocke.
