Corrections to Chibi’s post, which is amazing considering he DID play it nearly the entire weekend:
Cerebella:
- QCT+throw (command grab) is erroneously listed as 360+throw.
- 360+throw (super throw) is erroneously listed as 360+2P.
- her lv3 has hyper armor (can’t stop it except with throws).
Peacock:
- Item drop button doesn’t have to do with anything except the location for the drop. There are 3 levels of item (small/med/large), it levels up as you continue to hold down the button, and within each level the items are randomized. Road Roller is an uncommon large item drop.
Also you owe me $10 for declaring you’d never post a picture of that art online, then doing so immediately. :^P Called it.

If you press assist while an assist is already out do you do a normal? I guess the mashability of assists isn’t so much of a concern when they all have 3 frames vulnerable startup, but I’m still interested.

Amazing write-up, Chibi. Didn’t know Cerebella’s “Diamond Punch” was her level 3. Might be the first time I’ll consider maining a grappler.
The wait for this game is killing me. Hopefully 3SOE will come out soon so I have something to do while waiting for this masterpiece.
I think it goes without saying that the Skullgirls folks are going to be at EVO.
That said, will there be some awesome Skullgirls swag that we can pick up at EVO? I’d love me a poster. I’d like to be able to put some of this game’s great art on display.

Porting to Type X2 should be almost trivial, right? Then again maybe not if, like Mike Z said, modern PC hardware can struggle to run the game.
I just thought of something, do the random “bullets”, item drops, and sword things that Peacock fire out have different properties?

It kind of looks like it, doesn’t it? I’ve seen her do a sword combo that looks like it has a weird vacuum effect when the sword retracts, but I feel like it may have been only with certain swords. Rewarding a player for switching to a more damaging combo if they can react to which random sword they get would be pretty cool.
Hey Mike Z, suggestion if it hasn’t already been implemented:
Specials or Supers that do less normal damage but take away a lot of the target’s red health. As I see it, it could add a bit more to the viability of 1 character teams because the wouldn’t really have to worry about those moves as much as 2/3 character teams because 1 character teams don’t use the red health for anything (as far as I know).

It was a ‘custom’ yukkuri if I recall, one that fits the game rather than of another actual character. I can’t really recall what it looked like though, sorry.
From what I can tell, yes.
Some simply hit overhead, while others go past that. She has Hsienko’s weight drop which knocks them down, which is then followed by the spiked balls that then otg you. I only got the ZA WORLDOU once, but it also froze time like it was shown in the trailer.
The overhead is only if you hold the button the ENTIRE time.
