Question, will Skullgirls let you name your own online lobbies and let you set individual criteria for each room like BB did? MVC3 didn’t do this and it was annoying.

Also will the game let you boot problematic gamers from your lobby? Once again MVC3 didn’t let you do this and you were basically just stuck with dealing with whoever entered your lobby.

1 tiny question about the online mode to mike.z :

  • This isn’t crucial but are we able to make a custom profile like in starcraft 1 on battle .net . In other words , to be able to write 2 or 3 sentences about anything you want to add in your profile . It’s always come with some players info statistic like number of win / loose , any ranking point and the number of disconnection he has done .

You get the win if the other player quits and the match ends, right? Because double-loss sounds super awful; a jerk who is going to lose anyway can make you eat a loss too.

It’s really a pretty good idea to change the name since the original names are pretty fuckin offensive to Japanese people

  • Fat Man /Little Boy hasn’t actually been offensive to anyone yet, but it’s enough of a ā€˜maybe’ to the general populace that we’ve been gently encouraged to change it.
  • It’s hard to explain what a rollback looks like since match recordings played back later won’t have them, you’d have to find camera footage of a game in progress. Or just go GET anything with GGPO and PLAY it…
  • Supers’ startup invincibility is handled a lot of different ways in different games, and it’s usually per-super depending on use. Ryu’s Shinkuu Hadoken (and Akuma’s) in 3s are invincible pre-flash but not post-flash, and the projectile comes out a few frames post-flash, so you can beat them out if you overlap properly. Shippu/Corkscrew are invincible pre-flash and throw vulnerable post-flash, Critical Combo/Rocket Upper/Shoryu Cannon/etc are invincible for a huge while both pre- and post-flash, etc. Supers are different from each other in MvC2, in MvC3, in SG, in everything…and generally people confuse fast startup (MvC3 Proton Cannon, MvC2 Headcrush) with invincible-at-startup a lot.

That’s just what I remember reading somewhere. I’d imagine it’ll be a little more sophisticated than that.

There’s nothing offensive about fatman or lil boy. It’s funny we have to be PC but Japan can be as offensive as they want to be.

It is distracting from the game as well. People should be talking about the game, not if those names are going to hurt feelings. I approve of the thought to name change. I hope lil boy is renamed Carl.
