Waste of $12!
Also, Skyrim is STILL in the top 10 top sellers list. How many fucking copies has that game sold on PC?! That game hasn’t dropped from the top 10 stop since it was up for pre-order lol.
I’m not gonna do it anyways. Although I already spend $25 just to play SG’s storymode basically on cousin’s PS3 =]
Wasn’t able to get non-laggy matches though… Possibly it’s have something to do with our PSN region being Europe while geographically we’re living in China’s neighborhood >_>
I dont buy Capcom games on PC because of GFWL, I asked Sven a lot of times to take that out of the PC ports but It seems Capcom is happy with that crappy service also their deals on Steam are very lame.
I havent met a single player who isnt playing competitive
add also the countless doujin fighters
besides, without PC emulation, online play in consoles would be doomed…
That’s because GFWL and XBL isn’t that different. It’s more cost effective for Capcom to go with GFWL. Still blows ass though.
Yeah and a big mistake, SF X Tekken for PC will not have couch coop thanks to GFLW.
Man at the moment, only Microsoft , Capcom, Warner Bros and Namco with Dark Souls (that It has a petition for remove that) are using GFLW, let that crap die.
The petition would do anything as the port will slated for August. It’s too late into the development cycle for major changes to occur. I’ll buy the game and throw a bitchfit at Namco to not include it for the game’s sequel.
Capcom won’t stop using GFLW as long as they continue to see the PC as a secondary market.
And where are you pulling these system requirements from? Skullgirls is actually a pretty intensive game, even on consoles; I doubt it will run on “most” laptops.
Consoles are easier mainly because you can’t blame OS lag for issues with the game, it runs identically on all 360s and PS3s. In a genre as timing intensive as fighting games, I wouldn’t trust Windows to not lag spike mid match
I think it’ll be a pretty high end game on PC actually. I’d play it a lot more if it was on PC too.
Well…2D fighting games on 60 FPS that weight 1.5gig at best shouldnt be a problem on most laptop. You must remember that PS3 and xbox are 2007 technologie and pc capacity are nowadays much greater than thoses console. good laptops can run perfectly games like SC2 without lag spike (exept for the mothership warp in which cause a frame skip for a second).
But dont try running a game with 200 other programs running at the same time.
It’s easier to optimize for console hardware since it’s all standard. It’s harder to do so on the PC due to the number of different bits of hardware that can be used. APIs like DirectX can help, but those also cost some additional overhead.
Yeah, the game probably won’t run as smooth as you think. As much as the art is 2d, the game is wholly run in a 3d engine and uses modern lighting effects to achieve it’s looks.
I might be wrong, but I think Mike z said that the worst limitation that this game has in consoles is RAM memory, and that is not a problem on PCs. He even said that skullgirls requirements are really low and that he run the game on a Taito x2. It should work fine in any 5 year old PC.
Well only Mike Z and the Skullgirls team can say us that, so how many replies need this thread to call their attention?
You can go in GD and ask Mike directly when he’s there.
The game run on console. You’ll have to seriously screw up the optimization to not have it play smoothly with “console setting” on a six years old PC. Most console games “needs” more because they are prettier on PC (AA, bigger resolution, etc.) and because most PC player don’t like to play at 30 fps.
Well they said again on Twitter: "No news on the PC version yet, but… soon"

Pc version+portable pen drive=play SKULLGIRLS anywhere!
I also believe it’ll will be out on july with all the DLC togheter.
Well this week the game arrives in Europe and Australia for PS3 and next week the game reaches a month since the launch day, I hope news soon
If Skullgirls PC is really happening, and without GFWL to boot, I will definitely preorder/order it.
