To be honest…Yeah, it kind of is.

ST’s not the best, though.

It just does what it wants to really well.

GG is another game I would play until my life force gave out.

There are so many games I would rather play or watch than ST. Especially SG/VSav/GG. But a large amount of others as well.

Yes it was pretty much the origin of the genre, but I just have way more fun playing other games.

EDIT: Still interested for the stream tomorrow, I might be able to donate some more, will have to look at my current balance first though.

I think we can all agree that there were really only two actually legit fighting games released during the 90’s.

Star Gladiator and Zero Divide.

I mean from last to First on the last day? Can’t get much more better then that. Holding 1st place throughout the whole contest don’t mean shit. Whoever has the highest amount passed the deadline does. It just so happens that Melee and SG was the most Vocal about it. Although Melee easily has the most visible confidence for whatever thats worth

The game will die if you think like that. Evo will not be the end all be all of SkullGirls, the community is what decides its fate.

Won’t get into Evo? Fine, let’s pester the smash community to let their idea of having SkullGirls be a tournament at Genesis 3, basically the Evo for Smash, go through. They have been considering us and we could probably take that opportunity.

Plus we have the PC version on the way, and the patch for the Xbox360 version should be here soon!

We have years to let the game grow, smash started out with people in their basements for crying out loud (No offense, someone on the smash boards themselves told me this)

With the announcement of the PC port actually being funded EVO’s importance dwindled significantly. Why? Example, Super Meat Boy did pretty alright when it was released on XBLA (something like 30k sold the first day), but the first day of their PC release was something like 5 times that. Mind you there was only a month or so between the two releases and there was a lot of positive talk about that game, but the example still holds true. It’s far from the only example as well. Just about every indie games that come out on consoles first sold better once they came out on PC. Indie games do better on PC regardless. PC players are more open to and better able to purchase indie titles.

EVO is important and I hope it makes main stage, but if there is one thing that will “save” SG it’s a solid PC port. Even if a possible result of that is a most online focused community.
