Peacock is the coolest design so far. As for future characters, it’s hard to say without any real info, but I want to see what Umbrella, Valentine, and Panzerfaust have to offer.
He never won any major tournament. Even when he was allowed he was not considered the best character in the game. Bubble could be GI’d and they would reflect back and could hit him instead. He was certainly good but not game dominating. Actual reason he was banned is because people didn’t like fighting a zoner in a 3D fighter, and because they had predecided that he was broken because he was a boss (although Namco’s balance patches adjusted him somehow IIRC showing that they intended him to be played like a typical character.)
Anyway I don’t want to talk about SC I just wanted to warn against banning thing just because people don’t like them. If popular opinion decides what is banned then we wont be allowed to throw anymore.
Panzerfaust is codename for Hulk lol.
Umbrella I think is going to be like Viewtiful Joe except with decent zoning
Valentine looks like X-23 with decent zoning.
The only thing that really bugged me about Algol was the chair. Yes I could take his cheap projectile tactics, his speed, strength etc. But that damn chair was the most trolling move in the entire game.

That’s all speculation, and I hate to speculate from just some artwork. As long as we’re making comparisons to MvC characters though, Panzerfaust seems a bit reminiscent of Nemesis, but possibly even more badass, considering he has a tank on his fist.
I think we should speculate and relate the characters to mvc2

Actually, I believe we’re both wrong because from what people have been telling me in 8WR, only the French banned him.
Which brings us to the point. Decent folk don’t ban things unless absolutely necessary.

Talking about bans…
There is concern for SG too. Because of possibly big amount of paid DLC characters it may be a problem for tournament organizers to provide players with all released characters. On the other hand SG positioning itself as mainly tournament game so I guess RL already thought the way around this problem. It will be interesting to know their solution.
This would be incredibly disappointing. I would rather have her play like GG May, but anything aside from like Viewtiful Joe would be better. Don’t know how you see that though, Joe has nothing like a giant weapon he carries around.
Is it possible that one way around this problem is even after this game has double it’s opening roster (via DLC), it will still most likely cost less than SF X Tekken at launch.
BTW I didn’t read that whole article, I will later, but I haven’t been following SFxTekken at all, can I get a tl;dr on this gems fiasco.
There are crapload of 'em. Organizers should waste tons of money to get all of 'em to every setup & every player will choose 10 gems for his team wasting tons of time.

Don’t ban/punish me for this, I’m just thinking this out ;_;
Running the game on PS3 allows you buy the DLC/Game on 1 console and share it on 4-5 others right? All you have to remember is to deactivate the accounts after and members of FGC are cool like that. Before the tourney, you’d just need to figure out who is bringing the consoles and do it before then if the venue has no internet.
The game is cheaper than if it were on disc too and no one knows the DLC price.
