Can’t wait for EU PSN release, there’s nobody to play online in EU PSN at the moment. All I could get was US folks with 150-250 ping, and that just ain’t playable no matter the delay setting. The game slows down at 150 already, over 200 its a slideshow. Not bashing on the netcode though, there just ain’t a way to make 100+ ping playable. I was quite amazed that I had a couple of 120 ping matches that were kind of playable, in an underwater feeling fashion (I managed to zone out solobellas with val/para/dbl somehow).
Everyone on EU PSN should get into the Skullgirls EU chatroom so we can arrange some unranked games. I played with johnny (i think it was) from the chatroom and twas an acceptable 50ms and it was quite smooth.
Also showed me I need serious practice, having next to no experience in Marvel games really shows, I just try to zone and play footsies, then sit and block mixups and eventually get blown up, need to make a new gameplan for skullgirls.
Get me in that eu chatroom.

I have a sad, sad news to announce to the whole WARUDO.
I went into training mode out of pure boredom and remembered the post that was talking about Cerebella reflecting the Dio ROLLER ROLLAH DAAH from Peacock’s 214HP.
After 15 minutes of unsuccessful items, I finally get the one I want and reflect it.
It was indeed reflected, Cerebella still gets hit by the ROLLER ROLLAH DAAAH while Peacock is staggering. I recorded it so that I’ll show you after (even picked colors that looked closest to Jotaro and Dio for Cerebella and Peacock).

360 pad support is separate from GFWL, it’s just using XInput, which we already use on the dev version. I can’t see us taking it out since it already works, but we have to add DirectInput also because XInput, although nice for 360 sticks, doesn’t support anything ELSE.
That’s on the fix list, btw. To not be invincible unless hitting the point char. Though as it is now you can still throw her. Also I missed this tournament, did people have fun? Were there more than 8 entrants? >.<
Unstoppable needs to be demonstrated over a period of time where people attempt to stop it. You’re asking for a nerf in the first week. I’ll grant you that it’s good, but I am sure you are aware of the concept of first order optimal strategies: (at two minutes in)

Just to let you know, the tournament two days ago (technically three days ago) actually had over 40 entrants, someone was lying to Spooky about there being only 8.
And the tournament just tonight (or last night, technically) on Spooky’s stream had a lot, too. I don’t know how many per se, but it was extremely hype and everyone was super excited about it (never heard commentators talkin’ that fast). Once it got into Marvel 3, all the hype pretty much died, though that may have been due to ChrisG’s zoning, haha.
I mean, there’s nothing wrong with ChrisG’s zoning, it’s definitely legit, it’s just not that fun to watch.
And I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with Marvel 3 (I like Marvel 3), but Skullgirls is definitely grabbing a lot of attention right now.
EDIT: Actually, there’s a lot of things wrong with Marvel 3, but I still like it.
Having it on X360 and ps3 would be better thought. And to be honest, there is probably more player on 360; so, on a PC player perspective, it can be argue that it is better to have crossplatforming with X360 rather than ps3, if a choice have to be made.
Still, as for my personal opinion, I’m agree with you : No GFWL (except if it can be made optional, but it probably isn’t even possible) and PS3 cross platforming.
I was playing online before and kept getting put into this combo that lasted nearly the whole round and reduced all my health. Is there no way to escape these? If not does that not ruin the game? I only played Blazblue, which has bursts and tecks.
If you ever hit the ground and the ground bounce impact looked blue, it means you can tech it.
If the hitsparks start looking red and poofy and have a weird hitsound, that means the infinite protection system was triggered and you can burst out of it.
If it was a infinite pressing any button would instantly burst out of it. If you had hit the ground during the combo and the bounce color was blue you would be able to tech it.

About the GFWL topic, I’d definitely appreciate if Skullgirls went with Steam matchmaking instead, GFWL is awful. But as I understand it its much easier to integrate with existing Xbox matchmaking code. Now, if you could somehow combine both platforms, and have crossplatform play across all platforms, that’d be the holy grail.
