Well they started working on the first DLC character when the game was submitted (early March, I think?) so if the ‘2-3 months to complete a character’ is accurate then it’s possible she’ll be out in May.
Damn, then I guess my idea wont have time to be considered.
Meh but I have a feeling it wont even be Squigly, it’s probably going to be nerfed Marie.
I had the same idea, but Mike said I was wrong. First character will probably be Squigly/Umbrella.
I picked Cerebella completely on accident earlier having previously never touched her yet, matched against a friend who had a full day’s practice with Parasoul, and almost beat the crap out of him, lol. She’s a great character.
Related to the ‘picked the wrong character’ part, I’ve had several times where I’ve accidentally grazed a button or whatever, it’d be nice if you could undo your choice if the other person hasn’t confirmed theirs yet.
You hit the back/select button to unselect whatever you’ve done on the character select screen up until you confirm you last character’s assist.
whaat? did I miss the skullgirls part on the stream?
MikeZ confirmed for bias tier with Cerebella. :3
Serisously, she’s an awesomely designed character and it shows. Maybe too well-designed, but it’s nice to see a grappler that’s smartly put-together.
Anyway, awesome game! I’m trying to run a Painwheel/Valentine/Fortune party while not being able to do any combos, lol.
Will there be more SG today on Level|Up?
Konami code was already confirmed to do nothing by Mike Z.
try Down, R, Up, L, Y, and B (Its the SNES SF2 Color/Championship code (or its playstation equivalent, replacing Y with triangle and B with circle)) anywhere, with and without locking button inputs with L1+R1 or L2+R2.
Mike confirmed for not bias tier due to Peasoul looking crazy good.
Keep away and grapplers are ruling the day. Only in Skullgirls.
I see great potential with painwheel, her flight is really good. Just wish the kid was more pure rushdown and speed based than a heavy hitter like Sentinel.
SRK review was way too casual. You can get that shit from anywhere on the net, SRK should work to be different and give a competitive/hardcore perspective, not blend in.
Eh everyone wants to be a moderate these days…ahh well at least it was a good review.
Yes, Peacock’s looking like the new Testament, lol. Very, very good keep-away. She’s supposed to be vulnerable up-close, but her teleport’s hard to deal with as well. We’ll see.
I think it’s quite well balanced overall so far. Zoners and grapplers seem to have the edge. I’d call it 6-4 at worst right now, but nothing feels more than 5-5, really. Excellent work in the character balancing area.
Other characters have speed, so someone needed to fill the “power” gap. I like Painwheel much more like this, though. I’ve always had a soft spot for the hard hitters. What I find really interesting is that power characters tend to be limited in mobility (Hakumen in BB, or Slayer in GG), but Painwheel has Paincopter to cover this deficiency, which is a nice touch. Her evolution’s going to be fun to keep up with.
Maybe. Might be shorter. They said they are already working on her. I say the soonest is late may Early June.
I’m still pulling for Myrine, but Squiggly is ok too.
Still looking forward for that Panzerfaust, WE NEED A BIONIC ARM.
That one doesn’t seem to do anything either. This is going to be irritating.
Is there any frame data available for this game? I have no idea what’s safe.
One of about eleventy billion things on the list.
Fortunately improving training mode is one of the easier tasks before us, so hopefully we can do it by the time the first DLC character hits.
So even with my shitty online connection due to being in Hawaii, I still am having a blast online.
I also love how despite my lack of ability to combo beyond 3.5k in damage, I can still manage to win against people who do nearly cross-screen heavy hitting combos on me due to being better at getting hits in on them and gradually whittling them down.
Ms. Fortune’s head is a thing to be reckoned with, I tell ya what.
