That’s actually exactly the kind of thing I’ve been leaving untouched, waiting for the game’s release so other people will do it for me @_@
The real question is, why do I hear two different things.
I heard “Get ready for a showstopper” and “Now for something spectacular” DURING THE SAME ULTIMATE SHOWSTOPPER.
Yeah, TODS on 3v3 don’t work on 2v2 or 1v1. Also, it feels like there is a damage multiplier as well the less team members you have. I know level 1 characters hit like fucking trucks compared to LvL2s
Right now all I see peacocks doing is putting up a wall of projectiles and waiting for one to hit and the super.
I really would wait to see what peacock ends up being like in a few months.
Right now you can iad over her projectiles after she throws out the airplane to get in relatively safely and then go into your offense, watch for her to teleport and reset or jump back and use j. hp to blast you in the face :).
Wait, are people having sound issues online? My online play is seriously like flawless and my internet is ass. I’m thoroughly impressed. Very happy customer!
Rofl, compared to SFxT’s sound issue, Skullgirl’s online is amazing.
Also, I’m curious, will you guys announce sales any time soon? I have no idea what you have to go through to get that data, but I am curious to see how well the game is doing so far.
…are you playing Double?
Hmmm A Fat Cat girl don’t know what to think of that
There is.

Thanks to Worldjem7 for the chart.
I have a slight worry in adding DLC characters, but I always have this concern in fighting games (especially in team-oriented fighters).
When DLC characters are added in, I’m worried they might not get as much love as the original 8 do; barring people that are new when the respective DLCs drop. I’m guilty of this myself; I find a groove with a character (team, in this case) and even though I’ll buy the DLC to give the characters a shot (and to support the awesome developers!), then I usually have the mindset of “Now, where is this character going to fit in with my play style I currently have that’s served me quite well?” I’m kinda blind to what merits the new characters have due to me being biased to a character(s) and the playstyle I’ve tailored to myself.
I’m not trying to imply that there should be no DLC, god no, but I’m just curious what other people think about this situation in general and about Skullgirls in regards to new characters potentially being pushed by the wayside.
And before I’m asked, yes, I’m aware that some people are more open to giving new characters a try and some are very adamant to changes in playstyle, and I’m trying to be more of the former in this case since 6 of the 8 characters I can play okay with and I’m always experimenting in Arcade Mode, barring Marie, to see which team can make mincemeat out of the AI before kicking it online. I’m no good with Parasoul or Painwheel I’ve found out.
I’ve also heard the game do the double voice thing in online matches. Like someone said, I guess it’s from the rollback.
And while online is good, I’m not seeing how it’s that much better from other good online fighters like BB. I’ve had some randomly bad lag against people who were in the 20-60 ping range, like, bad lag. And I get quite a few error messages trying to join games in quick battle, but that’s how it’s been for pretty much every quick battle in every fighting game I’ve played.
Thanks. I don’t know what this game will look like in a few months, but whatever it is, Peacock is gonna be absolute hell.
Apropos of nothing (as usual), I’m a bit disappointed that Reverge missed a chance for a good – and thematically appropriate – joke in the promotional material… That title banner at the end of the trailers has always had COMING SOON or the expected date written on it, and in the launch day trailer I was rather expecting it to switch over to NOW PLAYING.
So I started the trail to see what the hype was about. The menu music won me over. I like how the tutorials break things down, I kind of wish the SF series had something like that because I have friends who dropped it because they didn’t understand cancels and things like that. I will buy this game tomorrow.
Yeah.
I think that after getting knocked out of the air by my Napalm Pillar people are going to start utilizing teams.
Fun facts: I have yet to lose to a solo character. All of my losses have been against teams. Then again I’ve only been able to play online like ten times outside of some matches with a newbie friend of mine due to time constraints but still.
Okay GGPO, do you hate me or something?
Edit:And now you love me again?
Oh, you whore, you.
no. Then the game would be talking in quadruple voices O.O
You mean how sometimes a character will say more than one of her entry quotes at the same time
I have had this bug happen to me a few times. It’s kinda weird.
I keep fighting PandaKingEX in quick match, the number 1 guy in the leader boards, with his solo Valentine, he mostly blows up my crappy solo Peacock with awesome resets, but I’ve taken a few matches off him, fought like 10 times now or so. >>
Maybe I should actually learn some Peacock combos.
Napalm Pillar to victory
Seriously man, it’s Captain Corridor. Even if you don’t know how to play Parasoul at all (which you should because Parasoul is really good) just spamming that assist makes Peacock so much stronger.
