Nope!
I have some ideas for addressing DHCs, but I still have no problem with most of what’s been shown.
I love those types of combo’s and fighting systems too, but I know and except this game is not one of those systems. I do very well without massive long combos and BnB’s…
Yeah, SC’s plot committed Suicide after 3…
So far the only thing I noticed you took notice to was Unscaled Tear’s, Omnomnom’s head going the wrong way, and some odd invincibility on Double butt, but you said those were programming mistakes and they will get changed. So far no one is out right abusing any system in the game, and I take that as a good sign.
When the guy who made the game has a Killer Instinct custom cab in his house, you know the big combos are coming.
You can still play pretty reset/mix up heavy in this game. People are focusing too much on being youtube combo warriors when at actual high level play there’s going to be a lot of potential for shorter combos into mix ups. That’s what people really liked the most about MVC2 any way. That game wouldn’t get the hype it does if every little stray touch always converted into you dead. That’s why people are tired of MVC3.

or she can cancel into Shuriken and be safe… lol
Hey Mike, is it intended that Cerebella’s Merry-go-rilla doesn’t do as much damages when used as an assist? :

Mike, you still messing around with KoF? What are your thoughts at this point?
I like resets more then huge combo’s myself as well. I find you get more bang for you buck that way
Yeah it saves meter and shows more awareness and control of the match than just one long combo. Plus IIRC the game is designed where the longer the combo you do…the less meter you get and the more meter the opponent gets. Which might lead to people opting to stop combos early and reset so they aren’t building you way more meter than they are building themselves. It’ll be interesting to see it all play out.
I don’t think many people have noticed that bit about the foe getting more meter then you as you do long combos yet. Once more people do, I think we will start to see more resets and strong, short combos.
But would you rather kill a character off using a long combo or cut it short in order to stop your opponent from gaining meter? Personally wouldnt the first option be better because you permanently remove an option from your adversary?

I do fine with resets in SG, and they’re intentional and everything. You get more damage faster and the opponent gets way less meter. MvC2 went through the all-100%-dmg phase until people realized that resets were better and could kill just as fast. (I’m hoping SG goes the same…but it’s only been a week, hah.)
Huh. No, it’s supposed to scale the damage after the hit. Whoops. Though I guess it works out okay for now since MGR has way more use as an assist than Diamond Drop.
It depends. You give your foe a lot of powerful options with all that Meter… plus if valentine comes in with all of it, she may just revive you person you just spent at long combo to kill…
Guess I’m keeping diamond drop until it’s fixed then lol. Well I thought diamond drop was better if I had filia on point than merry-go-rilla but maybe I’ll switch since I just noticed that if done in the corner it makes me go directly into filia’s drill loop.
Is she invincible/safe on that move anyway?

NAAAAAAAAH you can pushblock opponents directly into MGR if you call it on reaction to pressure, it’s amazing. I’d pick MGR or Excellebella over Diamond Drop any day for Filia.

That’s the beauty of risk/reward decisions in a fighting game.
Do I drop my combo early so he doesn’t gain options via meter or do I kill them in one shot so they don’t block the mixup correctly and escape.
Well usually I’m the one putting pressure but it might work that way, that’s a pretty good idea.
She can be punished for it, but the revived character jumps out fully invincible. You just need to be careful when you use it.
I find it could be a good mind game. You can stand over your teammates body, and it forces the foe(if they do not have ranged attacks) to come in at you, trying to attack you before you revive. You can punish that assault with different attacks, or fake them out thinking you are going to revive but instead you grab them, and then combo into the revive, doing massive damage to them and also reviving.
I saw you doing that during that one stream. Very cool tech
Anybody else tried Cerebella HK assist? I really like it. Creates great mixups.
