.in game u can switch the order around easily in a duration of the match and if ur the opponent it may cause u to snap in the wrong char. it may seem “nitpicky” but it does matter (kinda like whenthe new ui for umvc sucked) but i think the ui for sg is worst than umvc. dont get me wrong i like the game, it has its faults and im just trying to help make it better.
Yes, it does not work online because of the difficulty of syncing things - for example, if one of you presses Go on Stage Select at the same time the other one presses Back. No game lets you unpick online, though, so I don’t feel awful about it quite yet.
About the team order thing, I still think the UI for UMvC3 is confusing, you’ve just had time to get used to it and now you’re used to it. That doesn’t make it…good. :^P
Is it that you know where 2nd and 3rd are but you can’t tell who is who, or you can tell who is who but don’t know which is 2nd/3rd? Making the eyes bigger may help, or adding names. Noted.
Every time I see normal colored Cerebella I just remember that scene in story mode and it make me throw up in my mouth.
I would so buy a Peacock Comic book.
I still never got an answer why when I tried to go online, i just sat there doing nothing… it happened a lot last night, but I haven’t tried it yet today…
There was an issue on MS’s side I think. It’s all cleared up now and everyone can play!
…except PSN users outside North America
I mean if you’re a casual or less experienced player who doesn’t appreciate how stupidly OP fighting game boss characters are.
I’ve been having problems with my game (or possibly stick). After the game loads my stick no longer works on the main menu without having to unplug it and replug the thing back in. I’m also having this same problem at the character select screen when it loads up too.
If it is my stick i’ll see about having it looked at, I just want to play skullgirls and keep having this happen. Also in story mode after a section of dialogue right before the game loads a fight it will go to a black screen (I assume the transition to tell the game to load) and it will stay like that for a while without loading, if I press the xbox live home button the game will start to load the match but if I don’t press that it will stay at the black screen, this happens also in the dialogue parts when about to fight marie.
Any help would be fantastic. I have a madcatz TE round 2 stick.
SHIT. I LOVE THIS GAME. cryface.jpg.
I’m on the PSN in North America…
Going of the video, the loading times are, roughly, this long using the loading text/bomb animation as a basis:
0:04 to ESRB rating
0:05 to title
0:05 to menu
0:04 to character select screen in training mode
0:09 to load up a 3 on 3 match
I’m playing on an Xbox 360 S 4GB with an official Microsoft 320GB HDD and here are the times I have with the game:
Installed to internal 4GB memory
0:08 to ESRB rating
0:16 to title
0:16 to menu
0:25 to character select screen in training mode
0:27 to load up a 3 on 3 match.
Installed to 320GB HDD
0:05 to ESRB rating
0:10 to title
0:10 to menu
0:12 to character select screen in training mode
0:20 to load up a 3 on 3 match
Thanks for the info. I thought that cancel only worked when you were in the menus, because I was using Circle/B for it and of course that doesn’t work on the char select screen.
Awesome!
Well I can do a 50 hit combo with Valentine now, feel pretty accomplished for day 2.
Good to know, character select theme is amazing.
Load times
I find the load times similar to get into the mode select menu, but I find that the largest timesink comes from trying to quickmatch. No actual math was done here, but I own the game on both consoles (Because shut up and take my money), and there is a noticable difference in wait times between setting up for matches (After an opponent has been found), between character select and the first round (even from ping 60-70, I’ve had 10+ seconds of “Waiting for Opponent”, not sure if that’s a known thing), and then a long(er) period from victory back into the Versus menu.
I’m not sure if that’s even something that /can/ be addressed, but that’s my two cents. If you want a little more clarity, I can do some more testing when I get back to my apartment.
little historical note
[details=Spoiler]You know. My real name is Anton (Russian for Anthony, obviously). So when I was thinking about nickname I came up with not-so-saint Anton (because I’m indeed not). Or $t. Anton. Or $tan. Or Stanley. And I can say that Shark is my favorite male character in SG so far.
And now you’re saying that his name is basically my nick?..[/details]

MASSIVE NERDGASMS!!! FUCK IT’S THE BEST NAME HE COULD EVER HAD!!! I’M IN FUCKING LESBIANS WITH ALEX AHAD RIGHT NOW!!! I CAN’T HELP MYSELF!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!
k. I think I just lost my right to say that SG community isn’t consists of dolts =[
…crap…
Mike, quick design question.
Why is chip so good?
Is it me, did you do it on purpose, or did it just turn out that way?
so umm, what is the leaderboard based off of, as I can’t see any ranked mode options?
Ah ok, understood.
Well the pictures are tiny so it’s hard to tell whos who sometimes after they get shuffled from DHC’s but more than that it’s just that assist 2 is above assist 1. I know this, but it goes against my intuition and MvC2 sensibilities and I constantly call the wrong assist because I’m so used to assist 1 lifebar being above assist two lifebar. I ended up having to switch my UMVC3 layout t:
L H A2
M S A1
just to get myself to where I could call the assist I actually wanted.
Since I’m on stick I probably won’t use the macros in this game so I can’t really fix it lol. Just trying to get used to it.
I believe quickmatch counts towards rank.
I think they randomly match up people in the same “tiers”.
Also, will assist macros be banned in tournaments?
