I did, but there are already better more optimized combos in the Valentine thread then what I could ever come up with, I’m not the best execution wise around.
Actually I’ve been pretty lazy in not learning those better combos and rather sticking to my personal ones, which I need to rectify soon, but so many hours of practice is taxing haha.
Though if I went out to a tourny right now, I’m sure I’d do okay, since nobody knows up from down at the moment.
So… a while back we were talking about pad players and shortcuts.
IDEAS!!!
So… remember in BBCT when you could flick the right stick to do specials… That was… kinda stupid…
But what if you were allowed to assign button macros to directions on the right stick. Then pad players could flick it for assists. Something like “flick right for assist 1, flick left for assist 2” or whatever. This would free up two shoulder buttons for one button dash and whatever else.
It’s certainly not the best solution in the world but it couldn’t hurt.
I saw a bunch made by Fishy. I plan to try them out tonight when I get home.
Yeah, I really need to go into training and find combos, I have just been enjoying discovering good things online first. A lot of my peacock play has been based on my fights online. For a zoner at least, you need a human player to truly get that down.
I plan to go to a tourny today. I expect to do ok, but not win all… though with my luck I will fight RPG first round, haha.
That doesn’t sound like such a bad idea. you can make it so it’s a bit lenient on accepting a flick direction, since in the middle of a combo you may not be able to always flick it exactly left.
I think it was mentioned that that’s intentional. You always do the motion in the original direction when cancelling. I got burned by this with valentine doing her dash special into flatliner, but after I read the way it works, it actually pretty nice (you don’t get confused which direction to do it eg. in the corner when you don’t know if it’ll crossup).
Admittedly, my brain is super hardwired to do motions towards the opponent, I still have to consciously remind myself during my combo “remember, cancel in same direction” I’ll learn eventually…
