Skullgirls GD - It's Showtime on PSN! XBLA 4-11!

March 31st doesn’t mean anything, it’s the end of Q1, not to mention thats a Friday and Saturday, when the stores update on Thursdays and Tuesdays.

This.

Precisely.

Ergo, March 30-31 are placeholder days.
Skullgirls can come out anytime between now and the 31st.

Yea its a guarantee that its not coming out this month so I think its pretty much a shoe-in that its coming out on either March 13, 20, or 27th if they are still sticking to their early 2012 release date window anyway. Hell it might have been the 6th if SxT and crap tons of other games weren’t releasing on that exact date.

So that news post isn’t telling us anything? Awesome reportin there, hubs.

I hope for next tuesday… or the 21 of feb…

That Filia on the combofiend matches was awesome my hype meter is high right now!

EDIT: Now that the release date is close… are we sure that the game is not being rushed? D: that worries me

It is in a sense, it’s telling us at latest the end of March :3 At least it isn’t April/May like some people thought it would be~! o/

I’ve got over half of March without work, so out by the end of the month would be a Breaking Bad level of greatness.

Dayum that looks good! If you made a Peacock or Squiggly one, I would so use it for my laptop 0

Anything for pageviews, man :smokin:

“Let’s go, Samson!”
“HELL YEAH!”

I love this damn game. Great vid!

A little late but let’s go
-----I started playing FG with SF2 before turbo but with extra characters, main:chun
when I was young I loved to play UMK3 and KI at my cousin’s
when I realized I liked FG was at my friends house playing sf vs x-men bodying everybody with omega red
so I started buying every FG around for ps1(in brazil so all pirate) the ones I enjoyed the most were KOF98(terry/mature/shermie), rival schools(akira), mvc1 played a little bit of sfex and mk 4 then I dove into Magic and forgot FG for a while
when I heard about a new mvc I got crazy that you could pick 3 characters so when I bought my ps2 the first games I got was mvc2 and viewtiful joe 2
-----I spent some time playing those horrendous MK 3d games and tekken 3 and getting bodied in them and playing mvc2 one day my disc stopped working(low quality ftw) and I forgot to get a new one until the day I played this one piece game and found to download “10 in 1 fighting games” that had mvc2 and cvs2 I play this disc up to date and one day I found the stream to EVO and been following ever since the FGC I discovered Melty Blood(C-Ciel) and it has been the game I like the most together with mvc2(ruby/sent/doom)
I played i little bit of other games such as AH2(delcount), GG(faust), SF3(necro) but didn’t enjoy much. I tried Vsav but it’s too hard for me
----Since I don’t have enough money to afford a new console and original games I just go to some lan houses play a little, I enter every tournament just to have fun I have yet to play KOFXIII and BB I like the most MK9(Shang/Quan) and UMVC3(joe/morrigan/doom)
----I discovered Skullgirls by watching a video of solo Filia by Tatsu and I’m most interested in the pace of the game and Parasoul I’m waiting for a PC release so I can buy SG =>

edit:Every year I finish DK3 and super Metroid for snes and my 2 favorite games are FFtactics and Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne

Oh! I was there two weeks ago- worked last night and was planning on going next week so I can sneak on the SG cabinet while all others flocked to SFxT. I’ll make other plans if no SG.

Thanks for the compliments you guys, Imma make em loop once I’m done with them. Probably make the wallpapers available right after! (Unless you guys think it should just be one theme itself and not loop.)

Also about the release date I don’t buy it just yet until I read it off a trailer or from Ravid’s and Mikes posts.

Life story in fighting games, eh.

It all started with SSB 64. I was 5 (I think) when I played that game and I was very addicted to it. I don’t remember which character I picked the most, but I do know it’s very fun. Actually, I still play it to this very day. Next, when i owned a psone, I had a demo of tekken 3 and mostly played Eddie. Now for the first fighting game I actually trained for (not competively) Soul Calibur 2. I mained Yun-Seong and Link and actually attempted to learn their moves. I loved this game so much, I owned both the ps2 and gc versions of the game (Although I actually got the gc version for free by my uncle, who let me have it). I tried Tekken 4 and 5 but I couldn’t get into it. I played melee to death and regret selling it (plans to buy it in the future). I even got more into fighting games by borrowning and eventually owning Soul Calibur 4. I trained my Yun-Seong very hard, and thought I was getting pretty good (for lower levels).

Now what really hooked into fighting games and got me to where I am now, Blazblue. I always wanted to get into fighting games, but I couldn’t due to qcfs, dps, hcfs and such. I first noticed Blazblue existed when I went into gamestop with my friend and he bought Blazblue. I was intrigued by its anime-look and wanted to buy it. But, my mom wouldn’t let me at the time. In the middle of march 2010, I was able to attain Blazblue. Now I wasn’t really hooked at first, from march till september, I dabbled in it until I got really interested to the point I got all of the characters astral. During that time, I really wanted to learn all those ‘complicated’ motions. I practiced and practiced until I was able to learn all of those motions with my noobish Ragna. Heh, I remember when I first played Blazblue. All of those ‘infinites’ i found with Ragna were just me blue-beating the hell out of the training mode dummy. Anyway, I learned so many things from my time with the game and I took it online at september 2010. I picked a couple of characters I thought i was good at, and got wrecked online. I was so bad that one person beat me by using 2b with Tager the whole match. But, when ragnas beat me, I would go to the training room, and learned combos. Eventually, in a few days I leveled up and started beating people.

From 2010 til now, i’ve played GGAC, Vsav, F:UC, Garou MOTW, SF3:3rd strike, SF alpha 2, KOF (99, 98, and 2002), X-men vs SF, Marvel vs Capcom, MvsSF, BB (CS and CS2), TvsC, Melty Blood AC, Battle Fantasia, Darkstalkers 1, Arcana Heart 3, Zatch Bell: Battle of the momodos, Spectral vs Generations, Melty Blood (original), SF4 and MvsC3 (they sucked), SSBB (liked for its music, single player, and final smash), SF2, MvsC2 and others I’m not thinking of at the moment. The difference between what I was 2010 till now is big.

Now for how I got to know skullgirls. There was a post on srk for the first, crappy skullgirls trailer. I wasn’t really hooked, but I kept it in mind, just in case the game was actually good. I eventually learned that Mike__Z made is making game. Knowing him from watching BB matches, I learned what this game was about. It was amazing, the IPS, custom assists, changing your team ratios made it sound like the game is in capable hands. I lurked skullgirls when it was in the FGD and had its first GD. It had 36 pages and I read it all from its first GD to its current one. When I downloaded one of the FNF videos, I was completely in awe by its animation. The characters are so well presented in the videos RL showed us, I don’t know who I’m maining. Now 16 yrs old and I’m very eager to get my hands on this game so i can cram many hours into owning so many people online.

TL;DR: Skullgirls is awesome, mvsc2 is awesome, Garou MOTW is awesome, BBCS looks awesome, Melty Blood AACC is awesome, GGAC is awesome, SF3:3rd strike is awesome, Vampire savior is awesome, Soul Calibur 5 looks awesome, and Super Smash Bros 64 and melee are awesome. Viva la Fighting Games!!!

What time in the Comboratory video are these supposed “Cerebella DP loops” I’d like to see them.

I could not get into Milk Chan, even with my 2AM delirious self…what’s so good about it?
