Seriously, it’s not worth trying to understand their logic, you’ll only be driving yourself mad. Haters gonna hate as they say, and the guy is obviously just trying to find anything wrong with it, and he can’t find any gameplay reasons why he shouldn’t like the game so he sticks with what he believes is an easy thing to talk and argue about that will get people on the other side of the argument mad. [details=Spoiler]Wuuhuhuu Well if I should be completely frank, what really bothers me is that the haters are barking up the wrong tree and they seriously cannot see it. Whereas other games have females who really are nothing but eye candy or useless baggage to be swept away by dashing men, Skullgirls’ characters have tons of personality.
They’re strong, they aren’t the types who instantly become useless the moment the guys step onto the playing field. Their motivations are varied and they don’t revolve around men (with the exception of Cerebella, but even in her case it’s less of an “I am trying to please a man” as “I want recognition from my parental figure”). They aren’t submissive objects.
That’s what grinds my gears. What’s really sexist are the haters themselves-- assuming that just because a woman is beautiful, sexy, shows off her assets means that any of her achievements or her personality are rendered moot. Yes, it is possible to have your cheesecake and eat it too, where eating is recognizing that these characters are more than fanservice via allll of the other god damn stuff they do. They’re supposed to be over-the-top, this is a cartoony game after all. The fact that they can’t see the sexism they themselves are displaying is so frustrating > . < Hypocrisy at its finest.[/details]

If you look to the right, the other figure has the same noodle like plants behind her as well… but regardless, there is ANCIENT concept art of Parasoul’s super mode and it was plant based with what looked like a plant stalk coming out of the eye behind her hair. (This was back when the game was going to have super modes, which it doesn’t now, so I swear to God if someone asks about super modes I will find you, I will hunt you down, and I will tear off your fingers one by one.
