Hmmm. I’m not sure if I’m feeling the “Double is Nancy” theory. The poster text, at least, seemed to imply that Double is something much older. Like some kind of Lovecraftian-flavored horror tied to the Skull Heart or something.
My thought is that she might be more like the Shadow in Amnesia: the Dark Descent… once you decide to go after the Skull Heart, Double will shadow you-- do everything in its power to impersonate other people, turn you against your allies, and stop you from taking it/hunting down the Skullgirl? [/speculation]
So after watching last night’s FNF, I love how there is now a little sound that you hear when gain a full meter. I pay way too much attention to such trivial details like this, but I’m so happy Reverge is making sure the little things all matter:
Changing color codes of how much meter you have (e.g. 1 bar is green, 3 bars is red, and it flashes in a rainbow when at 5 bars)
Changing up hitsparks
Adding elemental effects to moves
Slightly changing the sound for hitting someone with a jab
The “Leader” part
Obviously can’t forget having to hold down pause to actually make the game pause (and is the home button still disabled? Or were there still problems with that like Ravidrath said a long time ago when the issue was brought up?)
Of course the trailer and posters are AMAZING, but the little stuff adds up too. I’m glad you guys know this stuff matters!
It was entirely my doing, and precisely calculated to elicit the maximum fangasmic response in the SRK and Dustloop crowds.
Yes, Skullgirls will be at the World Game Cup… but only on Friday afternoon, unfortunately.
MS devkits are hard to get ahold of, and since MS is sponsoring the event, they will not allow other platforms on the premises. While we were trying to find kits, all the slots started filling up…
We’re sending a kit to the excellent Bas Gros Poing guys and they’ll be showing it, and no doubt streaming from it with any free time they have.
I can just imagine you now sitting back in your chair looking at the fan response, while petting an evil lookin cat and silently chuckling to yourself.
