Sorry, I know I’m late to this topic, but did any of the people complaining about Blazblue’s story even play Continuum Shift? The time loops stopped occurring at the end of Calamity Trigger, everything outside gag/bad ends and arcade mode that happens in CS is canon and actually forms a relatively cohesive plot (omitted information notwithstanding) that’s straightforward to follow.
I used to be a veeerry casual FG player (Soul Calibur and DOA was basically all I played) and didn’t care to understand the intricacies of these games until the story mode in BB came along. I was so into the world and characters I just wanted to play it more seriously, and now I play every FG I can get my hands on.
I think the story coupled with training mode is going to make Skullgirls a hit and I can only imagine we’ll be getting a steady influx of new players into the scene thanks to this game.

Did the napalm shots get some extra detail? They look a lot more substantial now. I approve.

Extra fire-y-ness added to Parasoul’s moves? I like it. Think it was on the tears, BBH super and bikes, at least that’s what I noticed.
Any other little refinements to the visuals we haven’t noticed yet?

There is probably a lot more to her than we think.
You have to be a happy man in that case. This kinda blows my mind even though I knew it would be sorta like CS already. I’d probably be in a fetal position after seeing that with no clue that it existed.
It really did feel that way in the beginning, but it’s slowly opening up a bit. Tao’s, Bang, Arakune and all the other characters are starting to gain roles that are a bit more important. I never felt left out though and I was excited as hell by Bang’s growing importance.
I wouldn’t mind it if she turned out to be some anti hero kind of character or a double agent. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
If you miss your internal target enough times then people lose interest. If there was a hard release date for summer (say June 15) then another one for the end of the year (November 15), and then one now, marketing would have a harder time trying to sell it to the audience. Not that having to push the game back was deliberate, but saying “This is absolutely, 100% the official release date” is the best thing to be able to say.
Ditto with the price. No “perceived loss of value” from the game being delayed so long, because the price is what it is and doesn’t have time to decay.
Last thing about Filia. What kind of school has a midriff bearing/hooker skirt uniform? I’m guessing she either modified the original or she’s steadily outgrown her current one (I’m going with the first option). Is is too far fetched to guess that before Filia lost her memories she was loose?

And now, let’s see here…
-Mr. Molester doesn’t have a buzz-saw through his face. And Mr. Buzz-saw doesn’t look like he has facial hair… so I’d say those two aren’t the same person.
-What I like about the looks of the story is that each character seems to belong to a faction of sorts, and they all have different motives within and separate to their respective factions. It just looks like a really good setup for a big criss-crossing conflict that gives everyone a slice of the pie. :>
-And… it would be kind of awesome if Valentine turned out to be like, the Revolver Ocelot of Skullgirls. Y’know, screwing over pretty much everyone to further her own ends. Up to and including the Skullgirl herself? Maybe? Who knows? This all has me so excited. *0 *
yeah, his chin lacks the hair and his upper body isn’t as buff. looks like he has the exact same clothes though.
i’ve noticed a few other npcs from the story mode in the backgrounds, like these two.
