Hard to make a top 5 list with so many good players around.

Although I can at least explain my reasoning for not putting Chris G in there. Which is to say that his whole offense with Fortune consists of Nom loop setups. I am hard pressed to put him in the list immediately because quite frankly as a Fortune player I don’t find him to be very good.

The other 3, yeah I could’ve put them in there. But I only had 5 slots and I wanted to sneak myself in lol

I think it’s been demonstrated that low/throw being a pure 50/50, when combined with the ability to re-land the opponent, is pretty silly. I want people to have to be creative with their resets, not set up the same braindead mixup with every character.

It’s not a 50/50 if you DP/Blockbuster/jump lol

It’s more of a 20/40/20/20 (where 40 is the possibility the opponent will do an invincible move like a DP or Blockbuster) lol

Only had one set with him but I got it 10-3.

His Fortune is really similar to what I was doing before I started investigating some patch-friendly things. He also has a few dash unders that are interesting.

Problem fighting Fortunes as Fortune is that there is almost no mystery, no surprises. You know 85% of the time when you’re going to be reset, you already respect her space, you keep track of both heads… so it really is interesting and enlightening in a way to play that mirror match because you have to do new things or find new setups at times.

Still, I got caught in head cancel rekka loops, although I am trying to move my muscle memory into patch-friendly combos, so at times I was like “damn it, I know where this is going” lol

edit: Ah, you sent me a game invite last night but I was running a set with AdoringElm.

And yeah khaos does these mid air crossup resets, too dumb lol

Barring dinner plans and walking the dog, probably means we can play at about 10pm.

1v3 100%. Im slowly working my way to 1v2 100%. I know I can do it somehow. I can get up to 4 reps of the barrel loop. And believe it is patch proof. I will upload it after the patch just to show you.

So, while I was supposed to be practicing for tonight, I ended up making troll tech instead. Have you ever wondered “Damn, Peacock’s level 3 is so bad ass, I wish I could add just one more bit of bad assery to it.”? WELL WONDER NO MORE! Painwheel s.hp charged for stagger into death crawl, immediately cancelled into Lenny into throw+level 3. Lenny sticks around long enough so right when the level 3 finishes and they pop out of the bag, Lenny explodes. Best 5 meters I ever spent. Now if only I was doing something productive like working on not dropping combos >< .
