Skullgirls Gameplay Discussion Thanks For Playing

That’s really helpful, thanks! In that case I might just stick with my current team and switch Hornet Bomber up to MK or HK for that matchup.

Is there any footage of that other Filia/Double player playing against you? I didn’t realise it was possible to move fast enough to dodge Peacock’s item drops and I don’t have enough hands to practice doing it in training mode…

I dont have any video, sorry. Most characters can avoid level 1 item drops just by moving forward at all, though. Level 2 is harder to avoid but a lot of characters can dash to avoid it. By the time it gets to level 3 its probably best to hold back and just block it (high, because level 3s overhead).

It turns out that I could test it in training mode after all, so I might as well list what I saw in case it’s useful to someone:

Filia gets hit by level 1 item drops when walking, jumping or superjumping, but avoids them when ground dashing, airdashing or airballing. Level 2 items are avoided by wavedashing and airballs, and I can’t find anything that dodges level 3 drops. That’s a decent amount of mobility against level 2 items, so I’ll have to see what I can do with it the next time I play a Peacock/Double.

going to start to run filia/parasoul/double, me thinks.

filia is just too fun!

Suddenly, everybody is Filia. Tierwhores! :arazz::shy:

HEY!

I’m just a fun whore.

Hey, you know what they say about mid-tier.

I would have been using Fillia day one, but I have motor skill issues and can’t air dash like you need to to use her. One of the main reasons I use bella, she is mobile without the need of air dashes.

yeah i am really glad two punch dash exists in this game, or else i would be fucked  just out of curiousity, who uses button dash and who uses stick dash?

for ground stuff, i seem to use stick, but for air, i use buttons

I can actually never get stick air dash to work. I actually forgot about that problem I had, but does it work in this game?

I use button dash for air and ground. Double tapping a direction on a stick feels weird.

I tend to uses stick when going right on the ground, PP for most everything else.

Also been playing with cr.mk filia a lot lately in conjuncture with Parasoul.

There are like…some really silly things you can do. Especially in the corner. I will post some results soon, but as
far as mixups goes, i think its stronger then cerecopter. It doesn’t have as good of utility I feel as cerecopter for damage/combo extention, but jesus christ the mixups.

Will try and make a video of sorts,

Hey, yeah, I’ve been using that as Filia’s assist too. It’s so dirty. I love it.

yeah it works wonders with double and her double jump.

by the way we need to play together! i totally forgot to add you after evo  i am starting to use filia and definitely could learn a thing or two from you, i have never played a rush down character in my life

Lez get our skullgrillz on. PSN/XBL in the sig. I usually play late nights west coast time though.

That’s cool, we share a coast/

I had a match recently where I accidentally failed to set Fortune’s assist to dp+LK and instead got a c.LK.

What’s sad is that Peacock’s IAD j.LK multihit is kinda dirty with that lol

I use buttons for everything except ground back dash, dunno why lol.

I pretty much exclusively use double tap dash, except for val 4466 shenanigans.
