thats just taking one super instead of the other, because they tend to almost always cancel into her other level 1(the one where she skips and versa is spinning his arms, it OTGs I think) after that AA grab.

So its either eat a super on the ground or eat a super in the air?

and I do jump its just a shame that people don’t throw out random and super predictable supers very often, I sure wish I lived in your dream world. Jumping won’t stop her for punishing me or taking advantage of a lag fuck-up, getting an easy 30-40% without even having to do a combo and only using one meter.

In those situations a 360 is probably better for you anyway, since it does less than an actual combo (which they are probably able to punish with if they’re prepared) and doesn’t leave you in a position to be reset easily. Also, the AA grab into Diamond Dynamo super does not work away from the corner, so if you avoid getting cornered (which you should anyway), jumping is often a nice choice.

Filia is a pretty fun character to play, i feel like i can just do w/e i want.

Also her mix ups and combos are super easy mode. Figured out the corner loop in like 10min, i need to learn some of her tricks though she seems solid-ish

Because I like rushing people down with her and imagining the confused looks.

Random question. How tricky/hard is Ms.Fortune to use? I’ve wanted to pick her up for awhile now, but dem head tricks keep intimidating me and I go back to hiding under my bed. I mean, it’s not like execution has ever stopped me from learning a character but for some reason Ms. Fortune keeps pushing me away slightly. Also she lacks color palletes I’m fond of currently barring default:(

I suggest you read my guide if you haven’t, and also you can play me in some unranked matches and we can turn it into a makeshift training mode if you have a headset.

eh? She has that really well done Morrigan palette, the Duraharah Palette,her original concept palette (orange hair one) and a few other gem ones. Blue Mary is another one to look forward too as well since each character getting 3 more colors free post-patch.

Some of her new colors looked nice, but her Celty color is probably the only one I kinda like and even then I kinda feel it just takes away from the scars. Ironically, it’s the scars that make the morrigan color look meh to me lol

Those combos look nice and all and do good damage ( I play a team of 3 so now your damage comment makes sense even though other solos still do better damage), but how is that you approach other characters safely? If you can consistently get in then I’ll give those combos some more credit, but her best option for getting closer is her teleport which now has more recovery unless you cancel into super. Of her two non-throw supers one will push the opponent away (defeating the purpose of memorizing combos) while the other gives them time to react. Throw in your opponents assist(one of which is most likely invincible, armored or an anti air) and the fact that their point character probably has better mobility and safer approaches and solocock will be pulling splinters out of her arse for years after her brutal paddling.

But if you inssist on making things more difficult for the sake of surprise and whatnot I’d suggest working on her lp bomb loops and her j.hk (–> item drop/j.lk) restands. You’ll want your combos to be as long as possible and hopefully tod (I hate tod’s) after all the work you’ll be doing to get in. You’d best make it worth it.

@Dravidian: I usally don’t try to get in. I punish mistakes. The first fake telport combo was made to deal with the fact that you can get hit/thrown before the bomb hits. Item drop is meant to cover the gap. If you manage to hit them, you’re often too far for a ground normal to hit, but I found that j.mk would. I play tested it yesterday, with decent success. Believe me, the majority of my time is spent moving backwards and creating obstacles. That doesn’t mean I’m gonna let those rare opportunities to do good damage go to waste.

jump more then. random or predictable or not, if you are in the air she cant throw you, and yes as AOF said you cant follow up anti air grab (which technically isnt even a grab anyway) with anything unless you are in the corner. and dont even start trying to talk about lag fuck ups as part of gameplay.
