I was trying out button combinations for my combos so I can call assist ans do specials simultaneously. I switched to filia and called Cerebella while throwing (if throw misses then cerebella could push opponent away in some circumstances and give me time to recover). The buttons I used were lp, lk,and mk. Filia does her throw attempt but cerebella only came in did her taunt and left.
I tried all line up combinations but for some reason this never happened when Peacock was on point. If Filia or cerebella were on point, then the called character would only do a taunt and leave.
Not a bug. Whiffing a throw counts as getting hit when it comes to calling an assist so they will just taunt as if you had been hit. It’s known and intentional.
Thanks. I honestly didnt know, so I sorry for wasting the time of anyone who read that.
So, essentially, he purposely prevented people from making throw attempts safe…sigh, ok, Mike. I’ll trust you on that. I have no intentions of claiming that allowing me to do what I wanted would not have dire ramifications in the future so I’ll deal with it by learning some other tech.
But…why is peacock allowed to do it? Is it because her throw is slower(I know it is slower but longer) so she doesnt whiff the throw until the assist has already started?
Would that be considered a glitch then? Or perhaps mike allows her to do it because of her weaker options at close range?
Will the new patch fix the glitch where if you click “play again” too fast, you’d end up going back to the main menu? Myself and several other people have experienced the glitch (yes, I’m sure neither of us press the “return to menu” option).
I am wondering if you guys could help me. I redownloaded Skullgirls about a week ago and started it up today (the last time I played it was about 2 weeks after launch), I had family over and my little cousins wanted to play my xbox so I launched skullgirls. And it took forever before we were able to play, Even going back to the main menu took forever. I know the loading issue is known around here (I don’t know much about it, so sorry if I’m another person reposting this), but is there anything I can do to my xbox settings to speed up the game’s loading?
I have an older xbox (doesn’t even have an HDMI port) and the game is running from my HDD if it helps at all.
This glitch I just found last night. I’m not sure if everyone can do it.
Console: PS3
Characters: Peacock/anyone, although maybe it works with everyone
As it turns out, I do big bomb, combo into super hoping the big bomb will explode. Now, I was trying to DHC out so the explosion would hit with 80% scaling because of the DHC, possibly into a blockbuster with initial invincibility so I can keep the combo going. In my case, it was Fortune but the other character is irrelevant.
The problem is that while I was trying it I was actually off by a few frames and got hit by the bomb. However, I was able to DHC after getting hit out of Argus Agony.
I think characters can DHC out during the counter hit’s hitstop.
Now this may not be something enormous, but with bomb, if bomb kills as you’re DHC’ing, you lose the meter, the partner comes out and starts the super… but then jumps out and you lose the meter
I think what’s happening there is that the stage 2 combo was the one that did the restand, not the c.LP.
Thus this happens: you do stage 2 combo chain, then the opponent is in the air for a bit and lands again, then you start a separate chain which jumps past the stage 3 only because the opponent left the ground already. Odd.
I suppose the easy answer is do s.HP instead. Since the opponent doesn’t leave the ground, stage 3 isn’t skipped.
Just saw a weird thing on stream, Cerebella level 3 hitting Valentine (with Parasoul’s napalm pillar assist a bit behind her). Val was using j.hp. It wall-bounced Val, but staggered Parasoul.
If you look at the patch notes, some characteres have:
Ground- and air-throw whiffs no longer cancel assist calls, like everyone else.
Yes, it was originally intended for everyone to work out this way, however it was forgotten for some characters and for others it refused to work properly, so the restriction has been dropped entirely.
Actually, it might. We didn’t test this specifically since I didn’t know about it, but we did fix some timing issues with the MP post-match menu.
Neat! Just tested this, still in the patch version (^.^) but it’s only on the exact frame you get hit. And it doesn’t seem to cost you the meter for the DHC if the super doesn’t actually come out…
Last night I was playing an online match and there was a disconnection just as some move hit, the game froze and then flashed white to game to white to game very quickly, in a manner that I think would be dangerous for epileptics.
There isn’t a lot we can about this, unfortunately. I do turn off screen flashes upon disconnect, but if GGPO chooses to try to re-simulate the first frame of a flash over and over there’s no way to stop ittttttttttttttttttt…
Apologies if this has been covered before, but here goes…
I’m unable, after multiple attempts, to get a game online. I’m on a PS3, I go to Versus -> Quick Match -> Region, Europe, Search Region, Any -> It initializes, finds a room/opponent then progresses to the Character Select screen. I select ‘One Very Powerful Character’ then the chosen palette option. After both me and my opponent have selected character/s and palettes it will freeze requiring a hard shut down. This happens 100% of the time, I have tried getting into games 10-12 games now and it has happened every time.
EDIT: I’ve researched this further online since posting and I understand there are unresolved cross-server problems that prevent people from playing. I guess its just a case of waiting until the cause is discovered.
