Skull Girls Story Discussion Thread: ALERT! SPOILERS INBOUND!

So in other words if she has rough sex or gives the best BJ of all time, she might get her memories back. I am willing to go to the lab and test this out. [turns on ps3]
…$%#@

Not sure if this was already mentioned, but I was replaying Peacock’s story just now and when I beat Parasoul, she said “Test… successful…” as she fell to the ground. Any ideas?

It was mentioned. I think Parasoul may be supporting the ASG Labs but it seems like Lab Zero may be an exception since she may say this to Painwheel:

“You poor child. I never authorized this.”

Peacock is from Lab 8, Painwheel’s from Lab Zero (yes that one on the splash screen lol) and Lab 8 is autorized while 0 one was closed for being too amoral while ago but went underground and created PW.

The sequel should involve them going on a weightlifting program…

I messed around with Marie again because she’s so easy now, and just when I lost, Filia said “I’m sorry, mom” again. So I can confirm Filia says this when defeated by Marie.
So this may mean Filia and her mom had a connection with Marie/The Skullgirl?

EDIT: I also won against Marie and this is what Filia said,
Filia: “***This is for my parents.***”
-insert Maury joke here-. Filia must’ve remembered something during her epiphany moment after beating Painwheel, other than the fact she remembered a bit of Carol.

Isn’t it like, really obvious?

Marie’s killing families related to the Medicis.
Filia’s family is related to the Medicis.
Marie met Filia before their confrontation in her story mode.

I’m afraid to say, we might have another orphan in our roster.

The only strange part is Filia remembering it, but it’s not really surprising considering there’s precedent of her regaining individual memories.

This may be true, but then again, there’s some evidence stating that Marie hasn’t started her Medici slaughter fest prior to Filia’s arrival to the Grand Cathedral.

Before Filia fights Marie, she sometimes says, “***I’ll wipe all horrors from this world, starting with you.***” or, “***All the Medici will follow you to hell.***”

Filia’s parents may have just been eaten up by Samson, or just having a normal day at home unaware of their daughter’s absence. Perhaps they got killed in a car accident? The point is, we can not be 100% sure that Marie has killed them off, or at least not yet.

It’s funny to note that Alex Ahad lead artist devient art page name is 0 8 and there is lab zero and lab eight.

Ahaha! I never noticed that. Awesome

well, I’m pretty sure he has a little oh instead of zero in his nickname, but probably you’re right anyways

It’s actually so obvious I don’t really believe it. (See below)

Except that Marie only attacks you using the corpses of all the mafia goons she’s already killed ;D I think Marie’s line to Filia might just be dramatic writing instead of factually accurate (or as accurate as you can get in multiple non canonical plot lines). Cerebella and Peacock’s storylines directly lay out that she’s been offing the Medici’s for quite a while.

Anyway, my personal take on all of this is (and beware, large amounts of mostly baseless speculation is to follow) that one of the Medici’s offed Filia’s parents and blamed it on the Skullgirl. I’m going this route mainly because it would just be too obvious for Marie to have killed Filia’s parents. By the end of her storyline everyone knows she’s the daughter of someone very high in the Family. Everyone also knows Marie is killing the Medici. It slots together too nicely.

We really need the voices on the sound test options.

Next patch maybe.

But that’s spoil all this speculation!
This is one of the few times I’m glad there’s no sound test.

Actually they are feeding the speculation. The new Fillia voice quotes ressurrected this thread.

Also, only the battle voices. Not the story mode ones (if there is any).

Unfortunately, I only hear Filia and Samson say new quotes to Cerebella and Marie, so I’m officially out of material to work with.

Yar, but if they were all just available in a sound test we’d run out of material in a week. Now get to drip feed them speculations.

Oh, they actually got new lines in the patch? Awesome. Didn’t realize that.

There are always more stones to turn over.
Someone on the Facebook page pointed out that Valentine’s Spanish story mode has different dialogue to the English version, specifically after she gets the Skullheart, so I went snooping and sure enough…

As far as I’m aware, Last Hope’s names had not been revealed before?
The text reads "Rest in peace, my friends. Christmas, Patty, Easter and Hallow."
The next pages goes on to say something like “Without your sacrifice I could never have defeated her” (referencing Marie I assume)

Christmas, Easter and Hallow(een) are all self explanatory, but is Patty supposed to be St. Patrick’s Day?

I’m assuming it is for the moment.

I’m guessing the four are from he top going clockwise: Patty, Hallow, Christmas and Easter.
Patty is green, Hallow is scary, Easter sort of has bunny ears and Christmas… is well, she’s the last one left. Red and white is sort of Christmasy?

This makes me wonder what other nuggets are hidden in the other translations.

Ah, that confirms that… *0 * I’d heard that Last Hope was all named after holidays. Nice find, yo. Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to which name belongs to which member, but your guess seems pretty reasonable so I think that’s what I’m going to go with for now, ahaha…

It’s kind of weird for me that there’s a Patty now, though, because that’s kind of my pet name for Peacock ;-;

Anyway, if this is the case, then it’s probably worth it to ask around and see if anyone who played SG in a different language (any different language) noticed anything different about the lines.

I might stick a request for just that on the Facebook page. I just went through all the Minette parts of Ms. Fortune’s story in Spanish, but there was nothing new XD
